No changes rules are in place for this year. If these rules were in place from the start people might have valued injury prone guys more.

Valid point but still think it's for the good of the competition

So you can't have many active bids. So it's basically pointless trying to play if you can't get on at deadline....which is just common sense apparently. "Do not be busy Thursday evening durrr"

Whatever, I'm already late. You can figure out what's "invalid"

Wouldn't bother.

Hey guys, im removing my team and hintt team from the comp.

Going back to 10 team comp like originally planned.

The players we have purchased already are unavailable

Sorry,  but I'm not putting up with this

Unbelievable. Way to over react to a situation just because you're not prepared to discuss or you don't like it when someone challenges "What Ossie Says" because he doesn't think it is fair or clear.

Great end to a great week. At least I didn't try to bend work hours to try and check. You made that choice worthwhile.

Unlike you, I'm explainig MYSELF.

Common sense does not equal being able to mind read. We're not all part of your inner circle so know your True Meaning to everything.

We were told it is a free for all, all players are up for bid. I asked for a lot of clarification pre this period specifically to avoid these sorts of issues, so we can have FAIR and FUN game for all. But apparently we see the motives for games differently.

Your rules on being able to afford player in the original threads, if these are what is actually being used during this version of the auction, can quite easily be read as when you have won an auction, not when you are winning one.

"Need enough money to pay for a squad. If you don't, your bid is invalid, and the winner will be the second highest bidder."

"the winner" - as in will default back to 2nd bid, not the current 2nd bid, not the current highest bid, the winner. Past tense.

KB can't be labelled as not being able to afford someone when he hasn't actually won any other bid. That should only happen, if the rules are to be interpreted right, once he has won previous bids (presumably winning bids in chronological order of when he placed them) and it goes to the next person.

Then there's the "people not allowed to bid for more than they have slots free" - a rule that was never stipulated, never policed and NEVER been mentioned as in effect until I brought it up this morning, hours before this deadline..

Several people had bidded for more players than slots available before this morning (myself included), no one batted an eyelid, nothing was changed or declared void. Things only became a problem when Daz/Ringo complained that KB couldn't afford all his players.

I already mentioned why it's a terrible idea. You're creating a bigger disadvantage to people that can't make a specific time and date (which was never known about until after first auction period) when those people that are around at deadline already have a great advantage - they're already around!

Not to mention, if this was in effect, why weren't several bids defaulted back or removed? They weren't. Now, 5 minutes before I have to leave and wont come back before deadline I learn that this is suddenly "what is supposed to happen". Cheers for trying to see it from my perspective.

Anyway. It is your comp. So you can do whatever the flower you want, like not listening to people when they ask questions, since there is no way available for me to even challenge this impulsive decision or continue playing.

I was just trying to enjoy a unique SC game, wanted it to be fair for everyone and had hope to have clear rules for everyone to play by.

Sorry for misunderstanding. This will be my last post about this game.

Hey ossie just an idea

i know you said no trading in injured players but i think it's for the good of the competition

i'm thinking once every one has a full list if one of there players has an LTI 8 weeks + they can trade them in for anyone left besides the players bought by Ossie and Hint

i think it's for the best to keep the comp competitive at least should be put to a vote

want to repeat the players Ossie and hint bought in the original drafts would be off limits it pretty much would work like DT Elite
Probably a bit biased of me, but I am in favour of this.

Although I would like to reiterate that I did make the call before Kreuzer went down.
No.1 rule is no rule changes.

Reckon this is the fairest way

Hi guys,

Do we want percentage or points for for this comp?
hmmm
would still need to go by points otherwise it doesn't "really" matter head to head wise as long as you keep scoring consistently well
wouldn't it?

and i know someone will point out but if you consistently score well you should win most of the time etc but you get wehat i mean here

dunno Ossman either way i'm happy :)

Sorry, wasn't clear :)

What I mean is when we are doing the ladder, do separate teams on the same amount of wins, do we want a percentage (points scored divided by points against) or points for (total points scored) to make the difference?
