Do not mind Ossie either way just expressing a thought with say with possible a number of players closing at the same time and with the 30 second posting delay does not allow bid to increase. Just taking the opposite view to you as I have done so far know what I am prepared to pay for players and come in late at a much lower price than I was prepared to pay but as can be seen increase bids if need be. Different strategies to let you know where I am coming from and my bids are planned.

For this one though Oss and the Frenzy that is going to be involved (Your decision of course) maybe allow closing time to be extended a little until no bids received within 30 seconds.  With the 30 second rule in play with posting there could be say 2 players in Group 1 say and I out bids in say 5 minutes before closing out bid in both go back in but can not increase bid on second player due to 30 second time out with posting.

I'm really against this idea :/ But I seem to be in the minority. It kind of takes away the idea of an actual end time, and to me it seems to advantage players who haven't planned there bids properly, and simultaneously makes players values higher. It would also change the rules mid-bid, and that would likely have

As opposed to whoever is the luckiest bidder...

I don't see it as luck,  but risk management and knowing when to bid.

Like Jobe Watson.

Master Q

60 players in one night? Yo dude...

What about an auction end time 15 minutes after each one, from 6-9.

So 6:00, 6:15, 6:30, 6:45. 7:00, 7:15, 7:30, 7:45, 8:00, 8:15, 8:30, 8:45, 9:00.

That's 13 players a night. So the first 13 players to be nominated a day.

Boomz

Don't see the problem some have with them all ending at once. Will take more strategy.

Also with your theory in grouping teams am I right with this if player X in one of the teams has not been bid for I can place my bid say 1 minute before closing time. eg Melbourne has a closing time of 6:00pm I can bid on a Melbourne player who has not already been listed 1 minute before closure,  Risk I know but just want to be sure.

Gladiators and Cannons will be in the box seat for these imo.

and ready to pounce on some  ;)

You'll be able to out-price most of us very easily I'd imagine.

I said earlier I'll likely have 6 threads (3 AFL teams each), with staggered end times.

But it should be up to the coach to nominate players

And Daz and Koop should have the advantage, its part of the strategy
