anyone all of a sudden not confident with mcveigh or is it just me?

My Chumps

Just you.

Don't read into NAB games for your premiums.

Apparently didn't get much TOG so 70 you would have to think is pretty solid. Afraid I may have to drop him to Hurn/Swallow to get some cash for some more expensive rookies if a few don't bob up though unfortunately

HotTiges

Agree, not reading too much into it. Mind you, it is kinda tempting not to start with him at his price and pick him up cheaper later.

Doggoneit

IMO he is #1 defender this year - 1st NAB is just blowing off the cobwebs

For starters he is a very consistent scorer , had a season low score of 76 last year - only Pendles, Goldy, Big Will and J Steven didnt drop below that. His Stand Dev is a the lower end of all players who averaged 100 or more.

If he isnt playing off HB like last year he will be running through the middle - cant see why he wont pump out a similar average to last year and with his consistency he is not likely to have any major price drops.

shaker

Lot of other good players had low scores to would not worry to much he is very consistent

Yep if you look at his TOG the score isnt bad. Not concerned.

This. + 1000

Ricochet

Only played 65% of the game so no real concern here

robbieGTS

no worries guys, i am always cautious with players this time around

Won't score a lot higher this year so shouldn't get too expensive if you're looking to save a few dollars.

I wonder what you learned gentleman (and LF and others of whom I am unaware) think of leaving him out and getting a player $50K cheaper with a view to getting McVeigh later.

Gives you that extra to shore up elsewhere.

yeah what player would u choose though? im not the biggest fan of simpson

tor01doc

Ha. I went Simpson.

Hibberd - not now. He was my other one.

Mitchell a lock for me.

Then a Cat? Harry or Boris - I am on Harry.

Hanley will be good too, but he does have a tough start to the year and teams that lose tend to score a lower proportion of the 3300 on offer. I am not worried about him being tagged as much as the draw. Lions could be 2 - 7.

Hodge is a ripper too. But I want Mitchell first.

Good luck.

Yeah I'm not starting McVeigh. I feel saving cash and going with guys like Thompson, Hanley, Simpson, Hodge, Hurn, and prior to his injury Hibberd are all good choices instead.
