Very consistent back then.If he can find a place at the Swans then yeh consider. But at this point his JS isn't to crash hot, but he is one to watch with the lack of defenders around that lower-end price range.

If he's playing round one then I'll pick him.

Grufflez

Have swans recruited him purely for depth or to play early season as a replacement for an injured backman..does anyone know?

Both, they lost heaps of depth to bring in Buddy.
But he could play early with Alex Johnson still recovering from a knee injury.
Probabay fighting with Rampe for a spot.

He's a lock if named, with Fuller out of favour, Cutler a big maybe and not much else, I think one would be foolish to overlook him. There's also the luxury of Laidler playing in the first week, one can switch him over in round 2 if a cheaper rookie emerges from the pack.

But with the cupboard very bare with rookies in both the forward line & backline, I may deliberately pick players who are suitable for the loophole and are on the cheap side. If there's no money to made I happy enough to focus on points in the meantime.

Basically if anyone under 200k in defence is named they're probably gonna be in my team, scoring potential doesn't really matter as this stage

Thanks for the info mate  :)

There's a bit to like about Laidler IMO. If he can squeeze his way into the Swan's best 22 he has some scoring potential there, but the JS is the thing that worries me.

If named round 1 though I will most likely have him in at D6

It's all up to him , playing tonight so lets see how he goes

HotTiges

Agreed, If he can hold down a spot till at least the byes..

Would love to be able to start with Suckling, McDonald, Laidler as last 3 starting defenders..

I have massive doubts on whether he will get a game. The form Rhyce Shaw showed suggests Laidler was only recruited if there are injuries. At this stage Shaw is miles ahead of him.
