Unfortunately cant afford Hibberd/Martin so these are my options. Fwds/Backs ATM are:

Backs: Mitchell, Simpson, .... , Swallow, Suckling, McDonald (Fuller, Georgiou)

Fwds: Danger, .... , Franklin, Gunston, Pav, Harris (McCarthy, Impey)

Any thoughts are greatly appreciated!

I'd go Hurn and Dusty. Dusty should be the 2nd highest scoring forward IMO, and Hurn is a very good SC scorer, even if he doesn't get much of the ball.

I voted 1 because it was to much effort to read or click the 2nd option..hope that helps  ;)

I think Dusty/Hurn is more risky while your know what your going to get a little more with a Hibberd and Roughy. Thing with Martin is that if he plays that mid/fwd role then he is an absolute lock, but i don't really like him as the half back, so will wait and see on his role, dont think he can average 100+ as a backman. With Hurn, he isn't proven and i dont know if he could ever go 95+ which is what is needed to become the keeper.

Tough decision but for security reasons, i'm opting with Hibberd/Roughy atm.

I think Hurn averaged 94.7 without his injured game

Can he improve on that and continue a trend upwards, with an average of closer to 100? Idk, for me this pair is completely up to where Dusty plays, if its mid/ fwd then this is how i see the pairing:

Dusty 105 and Hurn 95 = 200
or
Hibberd 98 and Roughy 98 = 196

Dusty playing off half back will reduce his average well below 100, making the second option not only more consistent but a better averaging option.

I think we'll have to pay more for our rookies to get decent JS, so have a back up plan.

Dusty and Hurn if you have the money.

Dusty playing off half back will actually improve his scores IMO, not decrease them like you believe. He won't play up there much at all, so not sure why you're worried. Hurn and Dusty for me, Hurn is underpriced and should get close to matching Hibberd, while Dusty is much better than Roughy/Wingard in SC.

Hurn and Dusty by a fair bit mate. Hurn will average very similar to Hibberd this year and Dusty should be all over Roughy
