Anyone considering to not start with Martin? I may not...

roti

Apparently will play more in the middle in GC's next game so will be watching that with interest, might have to give him the boot for Ellis though at this rate...

blues123

ill see how he goes next game then ill make more decision, but if had to make one now he would not be in my side

yeah thats what i just did. Also freed up more cash to spend on my the rest of my side. But think about it when Ablett, O'Meara and Rischitelli come back into the side (they won't be playing next nab game).

:o The great man made a legitimate comment... And it wasn't a question  :o

ubeaut

He is a good player. I can't decide whether to have him or not.

PROS - Talented as, improved GC, teammates seem not scared to look for him,has the best JS so far for a rookie

CONS - Too effing expensive!,needs to bulk up to play mid, will play mostly HF,needs to avg 90+ to make any decent money

I think it may come down to other rookies and their JS.

Hahaha I was legit shocked.

Good to see though, nice work man.

I don't have Martin right now.

Yeah go cheaper! Totally overrated like his stablemate Jaeger.

I must admit I am now considering not having him.  At a starting price of $220k (approx), you are basically looking for a fast cash cow and potential keeper for m8/9/10.  Whilst I don't doubt the experts about his potential, I don't think he is a sure bet in Supercoach terms.  You'll take just as much risk for a Michie or a Polec (who are second or third year players and therefore body wise more ready for AFL) who are about $50-$60k cheaper and spending the extra cash elsewhere.

Also his round 8 bye, also makes him less enticing.  Ablett, Pendles and Beams are all must haves, while the likes of Ziebell are putting their hands up for M3 or M4 and Crouch is looking a good cheap option for m9/10.

I finally told Blues to piss off and then I see him finally make a contribution. now I feel guilty

I want to see some more from him before he cements a place, I'll leave him in for now simply to earmark the cash but wasn't really impressed with his first outing for 220k...
