ANTHONY Morabito is edging closer to a return to the playing arena, according to Fremantle assistant coach Brett Kirk.

It has been an arduous road for Morabito. After a brilliant first season at AFL level in 2010 where he played 23 matches, including two finals, he has not been sighted at AFL level since.

we need him back badly.... it's really understated how much our midfield would benefit from morabito

I dont think we need him back badly.  Our midfield got us to a grand final last season without him.  He would definitely add some more run, strength and skill to our midfield.
