So looking in the lower end of the elite mids - I think there's a lot of value here considering the top players are $100k+ more expensive. None of these guys have shown the consistency of 110+ scoring over last season, but I get the feeling that a few from this group will push into the upper tier.

Who would you pick?

Steven has an awesome early run with Melbourne, GWS and then West Coast (who I'm tipping to be a complete shambles this year).

Ziebell pumped out an awesome 141 in the NAB challenge, has apparently had a stella preseason and his scores should benefit in Swallow's absence.

Libba has also apparently had an impressive preseason, but he is only 21 years old...

Sidebottom I feel is too inconsistent, especially with the glut of midfield superstars at collingwood.

Dusty would open up a handy DPP link to my forward line, but will he thrive in his new role off half back or will it hamper his scores?

Mundy and Fyfe are all class, but tend to steal points off each other (while Barlow goes about quietly accumulating). Expect one or the other to cop a hard tag each week.

And then there's Prestia, Sloane and Douglas all of whom I don't have much of a gut feeling for...

I'd pick Dusty and sub him into the forward line later on

Ricochet

Sidey priced at 96 and averaged 105 with Beams in the side last year. Keep in mind that was from 8 games but still a notable improvement. He'd be my pick

I am going with Ziebell personally, and I had him in before the Carlton game. I am tipping North to go well, he's lost some weight, NDS should get a heavy tag and the fact that he's been tipped before to breakout but hasn't quite got there. That's enough for me to take a punt.

I've been all over Libba. I think he is going to the next level this year and Bulldogs with a pretty nice fixture for the year.  Griff will get the tag, Boyd is aging but damaging so Libba should be free to roam.

Cheers everyone. Still a lot to think about.

imo its between Libba, Masten and Sidebottom. All three have shown purple patches of uber premium scoring. Masto is more of an unknown since simmo is introducing 'flexibility' to all his players. So this could help or hinder his scores.
