149 makes people jizz their pants but don't forget it is only NAB CUP and Cotch got 60's

Question for me is who at North is going to get the main tag?
and with so many good midfielders heading into their prime + Dal Santo i see them taking points from one another a bit like the Sydney midfielders.
Ziebell is looking like the front runner but can he average 110-115 in the season proper.

Its a pretty good bet that Ziebell will improve this year he has lost 5 kilo's and is looking very fit. With the new rotation cap they need him to be fitter and spend more time on ground this should mean an improvement in his scores, and his first Nab game was an indication of that. I wont be putting him in because of his round 8 bye, but i want to. Understand what your saying about the knee jerk/Gizzing reaction to players scoring big in the Nab but some players have role changes and new found fitness that have an effect on their scoring. Will this translate into the real season ?

North tags will be 1. Harvey 2. Dal Santo 3. Swallow
Zieb's efficiency over the last 3 years has only been 62% so can't see him being touched.

Ziebell has been in my team for 2 weeks, and yesterdays performance confirmed my thoughts that Ziebell entering his 6th season will most likely break out in the same fashion as Patty Dangerfield did.

Danger went from several sub 100 averages to what he is today, a SC gun.

I believe the signs are there for Ziebell to break out in similar fashion.  A far as what he will average, i'm not sure, but i think it he will continue an upward trend on what he produced in the first 5 years, so in his 6th year, 6kgs lighter, fitter, a full preseason, he is now fully locked in my team.

On a completely different side note, does anyone no how to remove a team from entry? Last year was easy but can't find it this year :o Changed email and details so my automatic entry from last year is still in existence and i don't want to be stripped from any potential wins ;) Thanks

I'd say NDS, Boomer, Swallow (when fit).

Had a look myself could not see anything about exiting once you have registered maybe contacting them might be your best bet

Cheers man, just read when i cleared the particular team, that unless you have picked all 30 players then you team would not be entered.

Does anyone think Ziebell can go unscathed by the MRP this year?
Brownlow odds $101

Might be worth a Redback :P

Peter

Agree - byes are the issue, so possible R9 upgrade

If he didn't have round8 bye i would put him in.
+1, the bye makes it really hard to start with him. If he had RD9 or 10 bye I'd lock him in.

Why not have the best of both worlds and why worry about the bye  ??   Start with him if you think he'll score well,  and grab a falling prem for Rd.8  out of the profit. Get the benefit of his scores and make money. On the other hand if he becomes good enough to keep you already have him at a discount price,  and look at your other best 16 for the bye. It's NOT about the bye players who aren't playing but about your best 16 that are.  Cheers.      ;)

Would work for afl fantasy, but with limited trades, trading for the first round of byes apart from LTI is throwing away trades. Donuts are the big issue - its best 18, not 16 that count. Once you count up the must haves from that round eg Danger, Gaz, Beams etc etc you aren't left with much room to move.

 :( :(
Wasn't it best 16 last year ??    ;)
I see your point. My Rd.8's are :-
McDonald     Ablett    Cotchin    Ziebell    Beams    J Martin    Dangerfield    D Martin  That's 8 Rd.8's
But there are perhaps McDonald, J Martin and Possibily Ziebell  that can make money and be upgrades.
The key is to TRY not to trade much early, a feat that I haven't yet mastered in 4 yrs of SC. Cheers mate.    :)

Naa was 18 last year too.
Having only 8 missing (plus R3/R4 and the extra defender you cant field) is excellent. I've actually spent most of the day finding ways to get it down from 12. I think I'm happy with the 8 I am now at (2 in backline).
While those guys can be upgrades, you don't want to upgrade to someone who still has their bye to play - thats another reason why round 8 is so bad to be stacked with. You can't really upgrade the rookies until rd 10/11. Rookies with a round 9/10 bye can easily be upgraded to a prem with the round 8 bye and then you don't miss any games.

In light of our discussions PF I've made 1 alteration. Ziebell out and Priddis in, the  bye structure now being
7 / 10 / 13.  Leaves plenty of room to move. Hmmmnn  perhaps one more change,  J Grimes goes and Atley comes in, leaves 90 k  and now a bye set up of  8 / 10 / 12      Cheers and best of luck mate.
