If he wasn't already on your radar then he certainly has to be now! The only thing holding him back in the past has been his poor TOG% and with the interchange cap, he has been forced to trim down and add some endurance to his game! Certainly looked that way in his NAB cup game! (actual stat isn't out yet, but i'm sure it was higher than what he averaged last year and in his first proper hit out!) 29 disposals, 19 contested, 9 clearances, 12 tackles and a goal! I know its only NAB cup but like i said it wasn't the ability, rather his endurance that was the problem with him and the reason why he couldn't become apart of the elite scoring bracket. If he keeps this up he'll certainly feature in my round 1 team, at the expense of either Cotch or Murph.

What are everyone's thoughts on him?

Vinny

I think he can almost be a Top 8 midfielder and I'd have him but his bye isn't very helpful.

for me its cotchin vs zieball .. the 60k saving looks very appealing to me .. particularly with the lack of defensive options

Nige

If he can stay injury free and out of trouble with his good mates at the MRP/Tribunal, he's gotta be seriously considered.

Always been a fan of the guy, just not sure whether I'd be prepared to select him though, especially considering some of the other guys I'm tossing up who have a slight risk factor.

Maggie May

I must admit I'm tossing up between him and Marc Murphy.  There's only $15k between the two, so it comes down too who's got the best scoring potential/form.  Byes also hurt as I believe Ablett, Pendles, Beams and Martin are all must haves, so it comes down to whether his scoring potential outweighs the bye negative.

Just wondering if he is worth the 150K to upgrade Daisy.
Means I lose Goldstein (McEvoy) and need another downgrade somewhere else.

Not touching him in sc, May pick him up in AF though

Such a pity he is round 8...
Just can't see how I could possibly find room for him.

My Mids ATM are Gablett, Rocky, Cotchin, Murphy and Beams, so i could just switch out Cotch who has the same bye and still only have the 3 round 8 bye players.

The concerning thing is that he actually only played 67% game time yesterday which i thought he did a lot more. I know it was only his first hitout but you would like the number to go past 80ish to feel comfortable picking him. What a jet he would be if he played those type of minutes considering the scores he has belted out in the past from only 60% game time!

Impressive game yesterday he is on my radar now   ::)

This. I'm starting with GAJ, Pendles and Beams, he looks the goods but I'm not passing any of those players up for him. Beams too good value, Pendles and GAJ several classes above. One good NAB game (ok one excellent NAB game!) but not a proven week in week out scorer yet.

auscoyote

Grabbed my attention, would be a good pod.
His Rd8 bye, Record with the MRP and Swallow hoping to be back for round 6 are things to consider though.

Football Factory

If he didn't have round8 bye i would put him in.

Grufflez

149 makes people jizz their pants but don't forget it is only NAB CUP and Cotch got 60's

Question for me is who at North is going to get the main tag?
and with so many good midfielders heading into their prime + Dal Santo i see them taking points from one another a bit like the Sydney midfielders.
Ziebell is looking like the front runner but can he average 110-115 in the season proper.
