Smileys Bruisres

I'm interested in people's thoughts is Bernie worth a go in 2014? Priced at just over 400k will go up in value also.

One of those blokes who will make a little bit of money say around 50K maybe but won't turn into a premo so not worth keeping come season end i reckon.

Good footballer but not sure if he is fantasy relevant

Good footballer but not sure if he is fantasy relevant

priced at just under a 90 average, and looks like he could play a good role in the Dees side
hard to tell based on 1 game though, so will be monitoring for more

but possibly a good alternative to the likes of Smurphy, Bellis, or Stanley if you're going for a stepping-stone route

Noz

Did average 100 back in 09 but since then he hasn't played a full season.

Hagebear

A little but too inconsistent for me and I can see him getting a fair bit of attention in the Melbounre midfield.

Ricochet

Priced at an 83ave and 450k he will need to average 102+ to make you more than 100k. Has done it before but not sure he can do it again this year at Melbourne

jvalles69

I think he will be similar to when Ebert moved to Port from WC, so pretty decent scores, but think there are better options out there for the same amount of risk.

Except that year Ebert was priced at like a 60? average

Yeh exactly. I'm hoping Savage can do an Ebert

Dudge

I had Ebert his first year at Port, one of my all time fav DT selections. I will confidently say Savage is no Ebert.

Why not? They have almost the exact same stats and situations?

Hmm sorta.. I reckon savage is more of a fwd and ebert a midfielder. Dont think savage can average 100 like ebert did. Maybe push the 90 but..

tbagrocks

Bernie could win the Dee's B&F but wont finish in the top 20 for AF midfielders

Ebert has way more talent than Savage that's why. Ebert was a former pick 13, Savage is a trier but just doesn't have the talent to find it 30 times or take 10 marks or lay 10 tackles regularly enough. BUT I did have someone bag all hell out of me for picking Ebert in his breakout year, his argument was based around him trying to tell me that Magner would score as much as Ebert! BAH!!!! No way Ebert will score enough to be a keeper etc etc. Was at least top ten that year if not higher for av alone and never missed a beat playing every game. So if you like Savage go for it.
