I've gone through a few permutations and the money can definitely be put to good use. By going Grundilands I'm able to bring in Luke Parker into the forwards and push Pav down to F5. These are very bankable points too, Parker has a nice early draw and plays in round 8 & 9.

by picking parker are u not picking buddy?

Picking both, forwards are - Danger, Martin, Franklin, Parker, Pavlich, Kennedy-Harris

interesting! very strong forwards

This is only made possible by replacing Pendles with JPK and not picking Jack Martin. It's a brave move but in the case of Martin, I think there's some other good options who are a lot cheaper.

Seems we are in a minority in overlooking Martin, big call given the hype, but something tells me he won't come close to emulating Jaeger's first season.

very very strong considering most of the value is in the forward line this year

value that isn't likely to be ready for round 1.

Mitch Clark - injured
Taylor Walker - won't be ready
Higgins - 50/50 (but no NAB Cup no Higgins)
Bock - doubtful
Fasolo - vest candidate, competing with 4 others
Rohan - will probably score as much as a rookie
Lamb - see Rohan
Hawkins - the only one I'm strongly considering

Ricochet

If Higgins lines up round 1 that's all that matters
Fasolo, Rohan and Lamb may score as well as a rookie but you pay for their experience and job security

Fwd rookies aren't as strong as what we original thought. Garlett is behind Hartung, Kersten has had his own injury concerns, JKH showed something the other night.

All valid points and I may squeeze in Rohan if another cheap mid pops up. No way i'll pick Higgins without a sighter, 1 preseason game would be fine, but bear in mind, the split round could cause havoc without the certainty. Plans could be thrown out if you don't have the right contingency.

Sydney & Collingwood play in the first week, so do you pick Rohan or Fasolo, or do you risk Higgins being available in the second?

As for cheap rookies, you are right, Impey looks doubtful, as does Kersten, I'd be looking at Jono Freeman and even guys like Sam Blease (form pending), Sam Lloyd and Todd Banfield.

I hope the thousands of people with Grundy didn't see his game today - absolutely smashed by Hampson. Something tells me Witts may see more game time than most are expecting.

I thought if I had to pick a cheap ruck Grundy was the one not any more Hickey looks much safer Grundy stats look like someone who has played a handfull of games which is exactly what he is

Think with a few cheaper rookies starting to look more likely think I will leave all the cheap rucks for everyone else and go set and forget  ;)

If Naitanui is fit then it's a no brainer.
