Rookie Promotion & Long-Term Injuries

And 2014 ain't too far away....

Each team has 4 rookies - who can only play if....

- You have a long-term injury
- You can't field a team for a certain position

... But what is a long-term injury?

Well if they say in this link (http://www.injuryupdate.com.au/afl-injury-list.php) that they are "Indefinite" or have a return date at least 6 rounds away, than that's how I define a Long Term Injury for World XVs.... (Note the site is currently very buggy, so if you can give other evidence, please do!).

So in order for you to promote a rookie, post who has the long term injury, and post in this thread BEFORE the next round starts.

The player with the long term injury can't play for at least 6 rounds (on the off chance he returns early, that's just unlucky), and once he is not injured again (is off the website or plays competitive football again) your rookie is demoted again...

Happy for people to suggest changes/tell me something I've forgotten!

Rookie Promotion

In the representative round (Rounds 9-10) you are able to promote a rookie to the senior list permanately....

BUT....

You commit your last national draft pick for next season for this player AND you have to nominate a player that you will delist at the end of the year.

And....

You can start promoting rookies for Round 1.... NOW.



List of Current Promoted Rookies

Patrick Ambrose has been promoted to the Tokyo Samurai Senior List due to an injury to Ricky Henderson. Henderson can not be considered to play until Round 8 but if he returns to football earlier than that Ambrose will be demoted to rookie again.

Martin Gleeson has been promoted to the Tokyo Samurai Senior List due to an injury to Alex Browne. Browne can not be considered to play until Round 8 but if he returns to football earlier than that Gleeson will be demoted to rookie again.

Lincoln McCarthy has been promoted to the New Delhi Tigers Senior List due to the resignation of Dayle Garlett. Given Garlett will not play again this year, McCarthy is permanently on the senior list for the remainder of the year.

Alexis Georgiou has been promoted to the Berlin Brewers Senior List due to the resignation of Mitch Clark. Given Clark will not play again this year, Georgiou is permanently on the senior list for the remainder of the year.

Sam Gray has been promoted to the Beijing Thunder Senior List due to an injury to Matt Kreuzer. Kreuzer can not be considered to play until Round 11 but if he returns to football earlier than that Gray will be demoted to rookie again.

David Astbury has been promoted to the Buenos Aires Armadillos Senior List due to an injury to Jarrad Redden. Redden can not be considered to play until Round 12 but if he returns to football earlier than that Astbury will be demoted to rookie again.

Tom Derickx has been promoted to the Tokyo Samurai Senior List due to an injury to Sam Mitchell. Mitchell can not be considered to play until Round 14 but if he returns to football earlier than that Derickx will be demoted to rookie again.

Nathan Brown has been promoted to the Berlin Brewers Senior List due to an injury to Jarryn Geary. Geary can not be considered to play until Round 14 but if he returns to football earlier than that Brown will be demoted to rookie again.

Jamie Bennell has been promoted to the Cape Town Cobras Senior List due to an injury to Nathan Vardy. Vardy can not be considered to play until Round 14 but if he returns to football earlier than that Bennell will be demoted to rookie again.

Jordon Bourke has been promoted to the Cairo Sands Senior List due to an injury to Tory Dickson. Dickson can not be considered to play until Round 16 but if he returns to football earlier than that Bourke will be demoted to rookie again.

Adam Schneider has been promoted to the Wellington Warriors Senior List due to an injury to Luke McGuane. McGuanne can not be considered to play until Round 17 but if he returns to football earlier than that Schneider will be demoted to rookie again.

Cameron Shenton has been promoted to the PNL Reindeers Senior List due to an injury to Daniel Rich. Rich can not be considered to play until Round 17 but if he returns to football earlier than that Shenton will be demoted to rookie again.

Darren Minchington has been promoted to the Berlin Brewers Senior List due to an injury to Jack Trengove. Trengove can not be considered to play until Round 21 but if he returns to football earlier than that Minchington will be demoted to rookie again.

Max Warren has been promoted to the Dublin Destroyers Senior List due to an injury to Daniel Markworth. Markworth can not be considered to play until Round 21 but if he returns to football earlier than that Warren will be demoted to rookie again.

Tom Derickx has been promoted to the Tokyo Samurai Senior List due to an injury to Trent West. West can not be considered to play until Round 21 but if he returns to football earlier than that Derickx will be demoted to rookie again.

Given Sam Gray's debut for Port today we might look at upgrading him to the senior list in place of Matty Kreuzer at some point in the next couple of weeks. More to come! ;)

Ok! So Matty Kreuzer is listed as being out until Round 16 (so another 14 weeks), so the Beijing Thunder would like to upgrade rookie Sam Gray on the back of his great performance on the weekend!
