Great to see Suckling in the team, but no Garlett or Beams.
Birch, Hodge, Lake, Gibson, Rich, Redden, Hanley and Luey not there either but not an issue IMO.
Also no Shoey, Stratton, Merrett and of course Browny.

Would have thought Garlett should have got a run, played well in the intraclub last week. Little disappointing.

Hopefully just didn't want too much spotlight on him in Rd1 of Nab. Can't play everyone in the first game.

Apparently, Beams will be playing the second nab game

Interesting that Suckling has been named despite what has been said so will be watching. Lowden and Wanganeen will be watched for Hawks.

Do not take the absence of Beams too much as he will play next game.  The main thing that I take out of this is Stefan Martin is really on the outer with selectors as I would have expected him to get a run with Berger rested but Smith and Michael both preferred to partner West. McGuane is an interesting omission as well but will be interested to see how Lisle, Paporone, Freeman and Close perform.

Ricochet

No Garlett but really keen to see Ross and Hallahan

Squad has 29 of the 44 players in it!

Suckling fit and ready for Nab 1, is interesting. If he gets through ok, does that make him a must?

I think so, for a guy that can average 85+ at 300K its hard to go past that

If not named for game 2 may have to look elsewhere.

Hope L.taylor goes round 2 of NAB. Cause if he dont the fwd line maybe a little difficult to choose
