Draft Review

National Draft
Pick 68 - Bailey Dale

Been ok so far, played a few games. Showing some signs  :)

Pick 71 - Cam Ellis-Yolmen

Fantastic pick up! Averaging 82 so far and has played in most games at senior level. Very happy with his output  ;D

Pick 75 - Adam Oxley

Another awesome pick up! Averaging 84 as a defender, making him a regular. Rapt with picking him up this late  ;D ;D

Preseason Draft
Pick 8 - Josh Glenn

Scored well in his first games, but hasn't been sighted since. Still, looking like a good pick up  :)

Pick 13 - Nathan Krakouer

Done well this year, averaging 66. He's even made the senior squad a few times, hopefully he makes himself a regular in the Port side from now on  :)

Rookie Draft
Pick 16 - James Rose

Looking good in the NEAFL. One for the future.  :)

Pick 34 - Nic Newman

Coming back from injury, he has looked good lately in the NEAFL. Wouldn't be surprised if he makes his way into the Swans side this year. Happy he lasted to pick 34.  :D

Pick 48 - Jesse Palmer

Kicked a few goals in the reserves, but has some work to do before he breaks into the Power line up.  :)

Pick 71 - Dylan Main

Still don't know who this guy is. :-\

Purple 77

Far out, Oxley and CEY that late is disgusting.

At least I can say I didn't overlook them  :-\

14. Mexico City give: Tom Bell
      Mexico City receive: Shaun Hampson

Averaging 92 as a fwd. Horrible trade, wish I kept Bell. Hampson is important tho, as I need him as back up to Ivan.  :'(
:D :D

and then we traded Bell for basically Seb Ross :'( lol
Haha, a 92 ave fwd would've been nice for NDT  :( Did we consider doing Curren instead of Bell, reckon I would rather that  :P

22. Mexico City give: Zak Jones
      Mexico City receive: Leigh Montagna

Great trade! Montags has been on fire this season while Jones hasn't been sighted.  :)

:'(  :'( :'(

But Jones' year is next year anyway  ;)

28. Mexico City give: Drew Petire, Jesse Lonergan
Mexico City receive: Daniel Wells, Matt McDonough

Wells has done nothing this year and it's too early to judge McDonough, but I've definitely lost this one so far.  :(

I have reflected on this trade often this year, as had I not done it, I would've looked really ordinary in a couple of games. Petrie has been great for me, so very happy with this one. Lonergan looks like he'll get defence status next year too  :)
True about Jones, but from my POV I wouldn't need him this year. Montags would be handy  :P

Yeah you've done well from it! As long as Wells comes back during our finals and averages 100, it will be okay  ;)

Yeah rapt with them

Tbh they were the two I was hoping to draft, since I had late picks, wasn't expecting there to be much left over so just had a look at the delisted players and those were the two that stood out for me  :)

Yeah as the original owner of Bell, I echo these sentiments from Rico  :-[

Memphistopheles

All I will say is this - thanks for trading Blicavs to New York who then traded him to us.

Boy, has he been amazing this year.

The best part is it looks like he could get even better as well - that thought is scary. 109.8 avg would slot in to any team in the league.

Most Improved:

Winner: Adam Oxley

After not playing an AFl game in 2014, Oxley's career was at the crossroads. However, coach JROO8 saw enough in him to throw him a lifeline, drafting him pick 75 in the draft. In a year where the Suns have been hit by injury, Oxley stood tall in defence, averaging 76 (or a whopping 93 unsubbed).

The Ox beat other contenders, Shaun Grigg and Cam Ellis-Yolmen.
