Gunston scored

110,
82,
73

in the games where franklin didn't play last year
To be fair when he got 73 he got subbed out in the 3rd quarter with a quad strain.

Pav for me, he's a proven gun and has had a decent preseason, unlike last year.
Gunston isn't completely proven and doesn't have Buddy in the team anymore, so I'm not sure if that's a positive or negative.
I think he averaged around 110 in 6 or so games without Buddy IIRC
Not quite sure where you got those stats from. In the 2 years he has been at the Hawks Gunston has played 9 games without Buddy (6 in 2012, 3 in 2013), for scores of 77, 108, 117, 84, 65, 109, 110, 82, 73. This gives him an average of 91.67 without Buddy.

That's just put me off Gunston :(

If only Motlop was fit :-\

I've worked out where you went wrong GL. I think you were probably thinking of Roughy, not Gunston. In the last 2 years Roughy has played 8 games without Buddy and averaged 107.75, scoring 6 hundreds (with a high of 130).

Well, flower. Hahaha. Still think he can average 95+ though

I dont get the hype around Gunston at all. He played 3rd fiddle in a team with 2 of the best forwards in the comp. Hes gonna cop the second best defender every week now you would imagine. Cant see him averaging much more than 90.
Pav on the other hand is a proven gun, year after year. Reportedly having the best pre season of his career

People seem to think that Hale/McEvoy will get the second defender cos they are tall. Makes sense but if Gunston goes nuts surely this would change?

Don't you think Pav will be more hungry this year knowing they came so close last year and he's coming to the end of his carreer so this year they are a big chance? He will be fit and firing and back to his best, thats what i think

3rd defenders cant take two 200cm+ players in the fwd 50...

Currently have Pav but it's one of my more nervous selections. Just want to to look alright in the Nab and I think I'll run with him.
