Curious to hear peoples thoughts on picking one of these two Blokes.
All reports say Pav is training well and is a proven premium, but as people have mentioned in the Pav vs Buddy threads
freo have brought in Gumbleton/Sylvia and Pav is now 32...will pav spend more time as a permanent forward?
Will he be rested more? and how will this affect his scoring?.
I am seeing more upside in Gunston at the moment as David Hale will probably get the number 2 defender behind Roughhead
and Gunston's last 18 games of the season were really good..can he continue from where he left off in 2013 is the question.

Gunston for me. Pretty much for the reasons that have been mentioned in the OP.

Close call but Pav for me just if he has an injury free year think he will be back to his best

Gunston for me, but only just. Think he can push for a 100+ average

Pav, if fully fit, is absolute gold

Gunston might light up the G this year. Has the talent and rarely misses, Has a spot in my SB side.

Pav for me, he's a proven gun and has had a decent preseason, unlike last year.
Gunston isn't completely proven and doesn't have Buddy in the team anymore, so I'm not sure if that's a positive or negative.

I think he averaged around 110 in 6 or so games without Buddy IIRC

That's pretty good but it's only a small sample size. As you said earlier Gunston is a good chance to push a 100+ average.

neither, Pav is beyond it now, he is getting around and now freo have to slowly faze him out. gunston is a unproven tall forward, the worst type of all. Better options at the price, Fasolo, clarke, etc.

Yeah very true. He also had 2 subbed games during the year which affected his average. And he killed it in the finals against the top teams I believe. But yeah, he is a risk, but I think he can go top 6 forwards. Hopefully I'm right :P

Bully

Pav cannot possibly lose money at 432k, worst case scenario is he churns 80 a match, personally I reckon he'll nudge 100. Word is he's fit and firing, and I wouldn't be concerned about fewer midfield stints, he actually scores better as a KP forward.

Write off a champion at your own peril if he stays fit he will play every game not fazed out there is a premiership to be had and he will be a part of it

I thought there were more than that? There was a thread somewhere or maybe it wasn't on this site that had him playing 6 games without Buddy I think.
