Reasons for the Question.
-680K
-Will captaincy affect him?
- Are there better players value wise eg Barlow Selwood Griffen?
-Tough fixtures to start off with..Upgrade target?

it's not the end of the world not to have him, but have a plan to get him in by round 9. I may pick Cotchin over him if no defensive rookies come through and I'm forced to part with 200k+ for a bench warmer.

I don't think he is a must but you need at least two of Ablett, Pendles, Selwood, Rockliff regardless IMO.

Jroo

Not a must, but you'd want him in your side later of course, if you don't start him.

Anthonyyyy

I am not starting him but I will try and get him in after his bye and trade hopefully someone like Dom Tyson up to him some how

Sabretooth Tigers

 :)
Either him or Gazza, with at least two other captain options of YOUR choice. Cheers.    :)

i wouldn't quite put Rockliff in that bracket, he's still a bit of a flat track bully for my liking. Granted, he finished the season strongly but most of those were against low quality opposition.

Brisbane have a very tough draw.

vs Haw (57)
vs Geel (98 average)
vs GC (94 average)
vs Port (111)
vs Rich (126)
vs St Kilda (166)
vs Syd (93)
vs Ess (81)

Average=103.9

Granted he was played out of position but it will still be a big task to get the average up to 115.  The Port game is also at AAMi which means Rocky stands a very big chance of losing dough in the early stages.

Pendles is not a must but if you can fit him and GAJ into your side without affecting your structure you should start him.

As having both Pendles and GAJ affects my structure I will be starting with GAJ and looking to bring in Pendles in Round 9, therefore my current draft midfield has GAJ, Watson, Rocky and Beams as my locks.

Which teams have the best draw early on?

Sydney, West Coast & Doggies have appealing draws.

I am pretty confident Rocky will reach that level this year unless he gets tagged ahead of Rich and Hanley somehow and can't handle it.

He's in my team, but last years winner is leaving him out...

2011 winner

If it helps 2013 bronze medal winner has him and ablett locked ;P

My oppurtunity to brag is slowly diminishing with the new season approaching.

Tough draw means nothing to pendles, in fact he lifts with good opposition.

Yeah I agree, I'm not overly concerned about his draw, more so about his bye.

Yeah Pendles always seems to go to another level against the tougher teams, been locked into my team since day 1
