Just curious to know how most of us determine POD's   BEFORE  playing opposition teams. Personally I rate them as players who are in less than 20% of teams, so basically players you would only come across once in five games. Working on that scale ATM using SC Gold I currently have six that I'm terming as possible keepers. Some of these are pretty popular in FF teams so may surprise you a bit, here goes :-
Chad Wingard          15.03%
Heath Shaw            12.5 %
Dayne Zorko            10.2 %
Matt Lobbe              5.6 %
Kade Simpson           4.4 %
Scott Thompson       3.36 %
Personally would have thought that Wingard, Simpson and Thompson would have been much, much more popular. At the other end of the scale it goes :-
P Dangerfield            58.13%
G Ablett                   51.03%
A Sandilands             43.34%
D Garlett                  48.03%
J Martin                    44.44%
L McDonald               43.26%
And a couple of surprising ones    S Pendlebury    37.62    D Martin   28.55
So how do you calculate your POD's before game time. So all the best from this long of tooth, tired, and get me out of this bloody Melbourne heatwave Sabretooth.    :'( :( :) ;) ;)

Bully

Thanks for that list Sabre, Kade Simpson is the one I'm most surprised about, 4% is crazy low for a guy who will score 90-100. He's now locked and loaded for me.

Me too Bully, some of those positions are slightly freaky. Will endeavour to update it each weekend for those not on SC gold. Cheers.   ;)

Thankyou sabretooth. This is a great post. We need these every week come season time. Nice to see who isnt being picked :).

Simpson a huge suprise. I tried to go with a POD in each line except rucks.

Great post, Sabre-t. I've started off cookie cutter, pretty much and am gradually determining some points of variation - usually after a lot of reading of FF posts.

At the mo, I'm looking at defence at or around $500k (+/- about 5%) at the top, and a look at predominantly mid-price mids (+/- Murphy etc).

I'll probably run out of kahunas before D-day, but it's worth a look at alternatives first.

Vinny

Thanks for this ST :)

Shower, a lot of people are backing in Garlett to play.

No love for Simmo either, he and Suckling are my only two 100% locked defenders.

G'day Sammy, I'm a bit the same as you with one a line. The midfield is where I don't have one, but I'm trying to get as many keepers (or players I hope to be keepers) in my starting team as possible. That's why I don't have Suckling in. I think that if K Kolodjashnij plays he can score as well as Sucks so I've gone that way. But all will become clearer after the NAB, bloody hopefully. Cheers mate.    ;)

Surprising because they are that low or high? Pendles seems about right and Dusty I would've expected a bit higher

Can't believe how low Simpson and Thompson are, massive POD in my defence I guess? :P
Also surprised at how many have Zorko...

Does anyone know how popular Gunston and Sloane currently are? Cheers :)

Sabretooth Tigers

 :)
Mine are as above, 3 defenders, 1 Ruck and 2 forwards. Not ready to experiment with the midfield yet. Cheers.     ::)

Sabretooth Tigers

 ???
Also surprising as these two are both pretty popular at FF
Sloane     2.39%
Gunstan   4.16%

Vinny

Hey man,

Can you please tell me how popular David Swallow,  Tom Rockliff, Lance Franklin, Marc Murphy & Matthew Pavlich?

Appreciate it, thanks. :)

Danzac

Ryan Griffen 7.5%, only faces one top 8 team in his first 6 games.
In comparison the Collingwood mids face FREO/SYD/GEEL first 3 rounds.

Very interesting stat Danzac, guess that also goes for Liberatore too.
Vinney :-
Franklin     34.04%
Murphy     18.19%
D Swallow  15.31%
Pavlich       6.79 %
Rockliff      4.98 %
Don't want to do thousands of these guys. Each time I do some I have to put them in my team, go to analyser, and click on coaches, get the %'s then restructure my original team. There is no straight list where you just look down. Cheers.    ;)
