Without intruding on JR's thread, I'm curious to know what you will do if a ruck misses for 1-2 weeks?

Honestly i'm not too sure. I don't think many people really want to think about it. My only option really is to cop a donut on that line. If it's a short term injury as you said and they'll only be out for a maximum of 2 weeks, then I don't think i could justify trading them out, if I feel that they'll be one of the top rucks (Nic Nat) or still have a lot of money to make (Sandi). I've toyed with the idea of having Dixon in the forward line, but that's another risk in itself (His ankle). Obviously if it's longer term i'll trade them out but otherwise it's definitely something i'll have to think about, and possibly just use 1-2 of the extra 6 trades we've been given and be a bit more conservative with them in the latter part of the year.

Really? You're willing to accept a donut if sandilands OR naitanui get injured? You're virtually conceding defeat already. It is extremely common this year for teams I've seen to have no back up plan if sandilands gets injured and it's just madness.

It's possible to deal with without copping donuts but it may require a trade or two to sort it out. If it happens early and you want to hang on to Sandi, you could just axe Franklin for Dixon in a straight swap. If Buddy is firing then maybe ditch Sandi for Grundy, Hmac or Longer. The bigger worry is perhaps a late withdrawl, hopefully something like this won't occur on a Sunday, in which case it will probably mean a donut.
