Elgar is a disgraceful batsmen.. Numerous times almost got bowed leaving.. If there was even the slightest of anything in the pitch he wouldnt of made double figures..

Also this curator should stick to mowing his own front lawns. Because he has done a dismal job at preparing this pitch. Even the South African commentators were ripping shreds into the pitch..

Mitchell must of scared them for the SA's to ask the curator to prepare a pitch like that. Flat, dead, lifeless with enough grass that it holds together for 5 days without cracking. I suppose that's what happens when you stop watering the pitch 3 days out from the start of a test. ::)

AB is currently the best batsman in the world and it took him about 17 balls IIRC to finally score. The pitch is absolutely terrible for both batting and bowling and so batters shouldn't be judged for scoring at a slow rate. Will be interesting to see how guys like Warner, Clarke, and Smith go.

Lol I'm not saying he is a good batsman. IIRC he also got a few edges that didn't carry in that innings. But he still made a good score and if it wasn't for him SA would probably be struggling to make 200.

I'm just spitballing here mate but I don't think it was at the forefront of Elgar's mind to entertain a few supporters. Fact is he dug in and saved the Saffers from an appalling score. Credit where its due.
