4 Mid Pies

Is this over kill?  Currently have Swan, Pendles, Beams and Young in my mids.

But it is also hard to argue with, I guess it just depends what your are planning to do come the byes. They are all good picks in their own right.

but as long as you don't have the likes of Cotchin (or any other keeper with a rd8 bye) then you should be okay

Yeah, I do have Cotch as well.  Young will obviosuly be a stepping stone and Beams is the biggest lock in DT history, so it just comes down to who I want to get rid of out of Swan or Pendles.  It would probably be Swan at this stage.  Damn byes, always causing headaches. :(

I'm considering going in with GAJ, Swan, Pendles and Beams (note in real DT)
This is because the only other player I will definently have in other lines from the round 8 bye is Dangerfield (Cloke, Martin possible), hence I could have no donuts across the other lines, sure I may be missing captaincy power but by round 8 I hopefully I will have another premium mid or just roll with a Mitchell/McVeigh/Franklin depending upon who they're playing and how they are tracking
It applies the same in fantasy, however I won't be taking three of the the big four in Fantasy due to unlimited trading

Choosing between Swan & Pendles is one of the hardest choices this season. I have Pendles at the minute.

Pendles is cheaper and now the captain, he also handles a tag better and might surpass Swan this season. It's Pendles time now hahaha I myself don't have either but they will both be upgrade targets :)

I have the the big 3 at the moment, no Young, and finding it hard to part with any. I also believe Pendles will relish the captaincy, similar to Boaky at the Power last year. Also think he'll handle the tag, but we'll have to wait and see I guess. 4 mids from the same clubs is a lot, but if you can work the byes, it could work out fine

I can't fit Swan and Pendles in. Am backing in Pendles this season, don't ask me why.

Cant fault any of the big 3 pies, But I'll only be starting with the one in beams. Way undervalued, by the end of the season I'd prob have the 3. Just think there is way to many undervalued 100+ mids ie watson rockwiz cotchin daisey murphy

I'm now seriously considering Young again. But my only other Pie is Beams at this stage.
I don't think it's too many but it all depends on your strategy leading up to the byes.

4 Pies mids are too many before the bye rounds.

Young will probably be upgraded but even then 3 is too much. Unless you have no-one else in midfield who has a bye that week.

But, after the Magpies bye then I think having all three guns (Swan/Pendles/Beams) is definitely an option.
