Currently, my backline is: McVeigh, Mitchell, Hanley,____, Suckling, K.Kolodashnij  (Cutler, Fuller)
Swallow or Hurn? Why?

Ricochet

Tough one mate. I really like both these picks.

Hurn is underpriced due to his vest and should be priced at 95ave. Plus there is talk of him getting time up the ground which will only increase his output. Where as Swallow is primed for a breakout year. Personally I'd go with Hurn just for the security of being more proven and WCE have a very easy opening draw

Jroo

DSwallow, he's cheaper and has more upside than Hurn.

Bully

I have both, safe as houses with plenty of upside. Backline currently is

McVeigh, Mitchell, Hurn, Swallow, Suckling, McDonald (rookies to be determined)

Swallow, but Hurn is a quality player. One thing to think about is the Waters factor. I think they play better with one another both in the side. Hurn could possibly cop the tag, whereas Swallow will be running through the middle.

I rate Hurn highly as a player, but has consistently been just short of a top line SCer, Id go swallow, riskier, but think has the potential to go bigger.

Hurn is always going to cop a forward tag. The great thing about him though is he very rarely spits out a score under 80. In his 11 unsubbed games last season, he produced 9 scores above 80 including 5 straight tons between rounds 5-9. He is safe for 80-100 most weeks with the occasional big one when he gets off the chain!

Swallow is very much on the watchlist. I am skeptical when it comes to this guaranteed midfield time everyone is talking about. GC have a star studded midfield as is, now add in Jack Martin. Will be interesting to see where Swallow fits into all this.

Hurn a lock, and watch Swallow's NAB for mine.
