how's Rocky going to know what opposition coaches are going to be doing?
this just sounds like a ploy to downplay his own chances of copping a tag

opposition taggers will probably go rich 1, hanley 2... but it was basically like that last year anyway.

Hanley's an international player technically, but he should figure how to break the tag soonish :P

Hanley got tagged last year, so I'm not surprised by this.
He hasn't dealt with it well, so far in his career, which is concerning.

This nothing new and for those that follow me in SC will know that I have expressed this concern with Hanley this year.  I would be staying clear this year due to price as last year he was a medium price which a lot jumped on.
Brisbane tags will be interesting this year as Rich will get the No 1 tag always and, I expect this year may be the year that he learns how to break it, but the Number 2 tag will be between Rocky and Hanley.
I have Adcick in my team atm as imo he will be more consistent than Hanley and with sole captaincy will lead by example.

hanley still averaged 85+ last year pretty good for a "defender."

he pushed fwd quite a bit last year which has its positives and its negatives. he kicked a lot more goals, but missed out on those quick bursts of +6 mark and kick, which is what he was doing across half back intercepting play in previous seasons.

if he can push fwd to break the tag a bit more and kick goals i can see him averaging something similar. he should take a leaf out of patty dangerfields book and do what he did, go down to the goal square and kick goals....opposition is just wasting their tag on them if they follow them all the way there....

Artax

Had him last year and while he was frustrating at times he was still a good pick.

I am backing him in again this season.

Ricochet

Hanley's scores last year against his opening fixture

Hawks 83
Geelong 71, 56
Suns 108, 125
Port Nil
Rich 91
Saints 105
Syd 96
Bombers 96
North 84, 62

89 average... I'd take that in DT
