But he's cheap though, cheaper than most rookies. Even an average of 60 would get him a decent price rise.

Exactly. 60-70 would be perfect for a rookie priced player

If fit, he'll surely be in the mix. I don't think Simmo bought him over to play in the WAFL. He's sitting in my side, more as a place-holder for now, but will watch his NAB cup very intently ;)

For me Ellis will play if he is fit.

The Eagles footskills were poor last season and Ellis will help lift the standard.

Simpson knows what he has to offer having worked with him at Hawthorn.

There's not really any point discussing rookies now though with so long to go until the season starts. If he starts Round 1 then he's a lock at that price.

Simpson has said that Ellis is in the starting side, injury permitting. Atm he is definitely one of the best bench options

What the hell do u expect from a rookie priced player?
Been living DT life in the fairy land of Gold Coast n GWS rookies for too long
60 used to be an awesome average for a rookie priced player, will make you $150-200k

Cant find room for him in the team.. Maybe scrapping onto the bench.. But unless we have a few injuries he wont play. He is the 25 but for sure. So will get games. Just not sure of round 1..
