How to bye?

I'm just going to put it out there - only appropriate for players not going for outright.

If your team is build whereby you will lose most of your team to a Rnd8 Bye, as many of our favorite Prems seem to be, then you will score poorly on that round and probably lose your head to head that round.

BUT you will then have nearly a full team for the other 2 bye round whilst your H2H opponent is balancing a short team.  You have a much better chance of winning those 2 rounds.

Swallow a bitter pill for Rnd 8 and have sugar cubes for next 2.

I know you get your best 18 (or is it 20) players for each of the bye rounds.

I just find myself thinking that if your best midfield is GAj, Pendles, Swan, Cotchin, Beams etc then why put up with a sub-par team just for much of the season (or use precious trades) just to try to win one round - remembering that if your don't base your team on the byes you may well have a significant advantage in the other bye rounds and the better team for the rest of the season.
