Then why is there 3 pages of arguing about who is better when you would have said the same thing from the start?

Andrew3737

Because Shaq has a higher peak, which is what I've been saying. Kareem>Shaq in terms of overall career and player. Peak Shaq> Peak Kareem though.

The thread title isn't: "Top 10 Greatest NBA Prime Players Of All Time."

Bottom line -> Kareem is better than Shaq.

Andrew3737

Which was my exact point. However Jayman started saying and talking about primes, which led me to the Shaq vs Kareem.

Jay

Could Magic have won 5 titles if he had Shaq instead of Kareem?

Im not sure...

Andrew3747

for the 5 years in Shaq's prime, they wipe the floor. Magic didn't even have prime Kareem when he won those.

Jay

Kept telling my mate that prime KG is the best PF ever...

Agreed?

Andrew3747

For that one season, yeah, but he didn't really continue that.

But his prime still beats out Timmy, Dirk, Malone, Barkley etc

Andrew3747

Only for that one season though. Not sure if just one single season counts him to be > someone. If he continued like that for 3-4 or even just 2, then yeah, but I think Duncan is the best PF.
