Def: J.McVeigh, S.Mitchell, P.Hanley, M.Suckling, K.Kolodjashnij, L.McDonald (T.Cutler, M.Fuller)
Mid: G.Ablett Jnr, S.Pendlebury, M.Murphy, D.Beams, D.Swallow, D.Thomas, J.Martin, X.Ellis (L.Dunstan, L.Taylor)
Ruc: H.McIntosh, A.Sandilands (F.Thurlow, T.Nankervis)
Fwd: P.Dangerfied, D.Martin, C.Wingard, C.Dixon, S.Blease, G.Rohan (M.Honeychurch, D.Garlett)

Definitely looking for DPP links in making this combination. Aware that the rucks are risky but Dixon in the forward line is there for cover. Spent every last cent of the salary cap!

Good team just with DPP links in mids trade them in through season don't start with them...

Good team think you would be better off with a couple of cheaper rookies in the mids maybe put Swallow to replace Hanley , not to sure about Blease , if you go with those rucks and one fails you have cover but weakens your forwards to fix it properly will cost you 2 trades , a downgrade of a good player elsewhere to get a gun in good luck

GoLions

Swallow in the mids seems like a bit of a waste to me. Would put him in defence to replace one of your rookies, and bring in a mid rookie instead, as a mid rookie will make a lot more money than one in defence (and obviously score better)

Bennny

I like it. A bit different which is good with a couple of PODs. The rucks riskiness is hugely decreased by having Dixon in FWD. I like the Blease pick too. Again, i would have Swallow down back but overall a great team.

Having used all your cash is a pretty bad move especially if injury strikes early and you can only sideways trade.

Yeah, more so with H.McIntosh ruck.

johnnytheboy1

The Positive for this team it has a few uniques and has depth up forward
Weaknesses are there is no cash left over,2 Rookies defenders.  Risky Rucks.
Backs: I will bring in either Swallow or Grimes here which would leave you with just 1 rookie on the field
Mids: Downgrade Swallow to a rookie this will not effect your midfield as you should make up for it by a strong Defence.Good choice of Premiums.
Rucks: Both are risky just see who ends being the no1 ruck at the Cats.
Fwds: The Only change here would be Rohan to Kersten.

I think you just need to play around with this team before you get the right balance.but i still give it a 7/10

Thanks for taking the time to reply FF gurus.

I do like working the DPP's in but might have to bite the bullet in getting a MID/DEF in the middle and return Swallow to the back line.

Cheers. ;D

Ringo

If you were to direct Swap Swallow and Macdonald Team would not be too bad. MacDonald will give you the Def/Mid DPP.

Still risks with rucks though and think there are better forward options at around the same value than Blease.

Peter

I agree with comments re Dixon - had him for a long time, but the comment that if a ruck goes down or doesnt perform requires two trades to fix is right and therefore took him out too

Thanks Ringo. Is McDonald worthy of a MID rookie spot?

Ringo

If you want a Def/mid DPP he would be a worthy consideration especially if he plays early, With the DPP as well it allows you switch around when upgrading as well if need be.
