Haha, I'm confident. And even if by some stretch he does continue to struggle, I'll keep him in my team all season (at F7, great cover) and collect my 100 big ones from you in September ;)

looks like im doomed by the sounds of your persistence ;) hahaha

if you have franklin in your side all ime going to say is goodluck, he will produce scores of 50 alot with the few 130's when he explodes. not for me thanks

Buddy scored 52 in the worst possible scenario.

1) The Swans lost
2) The game was played in pouring rain
3) The umps screwed him over countless times

And it was his first game for the Swans. The chances of all three of those factors lining up again are very minimal. When the Swans have their midfield and forward lines back together and when the conditions are more conducive to high DT scores, look out.

And anyway, if Buddy scores 50's-130's that works out for an average of 90. I'll take that considering he's priced at 78 8)

haha i honestly believe he will end up average low 80's ill put money on you trading him out before seasons end
I'm predicting 70's  ;) He's a key forward so we can't take his scoring in a previous team into account in a new side... Key forwards are dependent on the rest of there team, among other things, Buddy has more competition in the forward line than with Hawthorn. In the Hawks he played congruently with small forwards & 'cherry pickers' (Rioli, Bruest, Gunston, Puopolo) with Roughead occasionally in the forwards with him and he was more prone to assisting Buddy than competing with him. This season he find himself in a forward line, competing, rather than working with, fellow key forwards (Reid, Tippett etc.). Reid will affect his scoring, Tippett will affect his scoring (I also think he'll outscore him). In my opinion, plain & simple, I don't think he fits in at the Swans. His fantasy relevant days are over as far as I'm concerned  8) Trade him to Chadwick or T Mitch, you'll get substantially get scores and more value. Yes Buddy is priced at a 78 average but so far he's played like a 50 average player. His transfer dictates that we must look at him in prospect rather than retrospect.

My advice:
Reject & Forget. His performance this year (and from now on) won't even deserve your acknowledgement hahaha

PSK - normally I would say you are clever and a sound voice for reason.

But if Buddy avg 70's it will be because he broke two legs.

Jalapeno

I completely disagree and think that after his first 3 or so games he will be comsistantly scoring 90+.

Tippett isnt even on the same level as buddy and if buddy wants the ball, He will get it. Give him a week or so to settle and get the gun mids back.and he will be killing it again in my opinion. Ill be on him anyway

DT Gun

I agree.

Now I know he is guaranteed to go 90+

Personally I don't care what he scores, suspension, injury and general buddyitis puts me off.

hahaha I acknowledge the fact Buddy could easily prove me wrong (JJK did last season but he's in a different situation (only has Darling in a Buddy-Roughy relationship and tbh JJK is a better player atm), however, as of now I just don't see it. I literally see no reason to lock him into my side. Like I stated it is only my subjective opinion, but his start to this season and last seasons' performances are making me think he's going to fall.... HARD!   :)

I also believe he won't serve the full 9 years. Sydney are going to recognise the horrible mistake they made and eventually cut their losses. I think Longmire just wants 6 key forwards (he was a key forward himself) and next year he'll be signing JJK, Cloke & Jroo   :P Pav's contract runs out at the end of the year and I wouldn't be surprised if they made him an offer hahaha. But with all seriousness the Swans are a good team, Longmire is a good coach, but Franklin hasn't proved to be a good player since 2012 (and even then his average was saved by that fluky 200pt game).

But I do acknowledge that Franklin can easily disprove all of this and I know what he's capable of. The question is whether he'll reach these previous heights because the way I see it is he'll only he worth the purchase if he can average +90-95 if not Wingard, Parker, T Mitch etc. are all better options. Personally I'd rather save money and go Higgins or Patton instead of Franklin

DT Gun

Franklin is a gun but the days of the key forward have changed

Its not pagans paddock anymore where the forward gets the full forward 50 its trying to weave through 30 other blokes in front of you into a tiny gap to maybe get a shot on goal or pushing up the ground n being the first to flood back to goal.

We all know how much talent he has but in this era he wont be able to score like he used to

Lol. In this era? It was only 2012 where he averaged 101. I'm not sure era's change that quickly.

But I won't be touching him until he shows he's turned things around.

DT Gun

the era of the full field zones
i consider it a completely different game from 2 years ago now everyone has jumped onboard the forward flood. In 10 years time they will look back at footy and talk about how this is when it all changed

SydneyRox

Franklin will love the slingshot footy that we invented. Creates plenty of space, while the defenders try aimlessly to chase down Jetta and Rohan running towards the goals, plenty of room for Franklin to lead in behind them!
