Fact of the matter is, the Church list is absolutely stuffed - barely scraping over 100 points per week

You can throw picks at them, but this team will be lucky to win a couple of matches over the next couple of years

Start of the 2015/16 trade period

Just looking at that list Rico. Sheeesh, it's going to take years before NDT can be competitive.

I think that needs to be changed. WXV is for fun - it's not real life or anything and being coaches of a team that is poor and barely ever wins shouldn't really exist IMO.

It's going to take years of priority picks to fix that side, and that cant be much fun for Rico and the other coaches who barely ever win a game simply because their lists are so shot

In case anyone forgot...

We made the GF that season

Clearly a fluke

Done nothing since

Pick 1,2,19 is more then enough to rebuild a squad with a competent and aggressive coach we saw what Dave was able to do with Karen

Personally I feel there is an overreaction to Christchurch's plight. If no one was keen to take on the Christchurch challenge, then I think you have a point. But as long as people are signing up for the challenge... then well, that's validation for 18 teams.

Other comps are struggling for numbers. We have a waiting list.

I say lets maximise the opportunities, and be patient with the cellar dwellers.

Can't just make-up and adjust rules during the course of the season, this isn't the AFL  ;)

Also, this ^^

Have no intentions to have another asterisk season.

Jroo

Agreed I think we should keep it at 18

If another coach drops out by the end of the season could just do a redraft between those teams maybe?

No doubt you guys did an amazing job Rico, but I don't think trades like this are going to pass or come up much for the new Church coach

Trade 10
New Delhi Trade: Tom Nicholls, Daniel Gorringe, Keegan Brooksby + Pick 22
Buenos Aires Trade: Mitch Wallis, Matt Crouch + Pick 59

Trade 61
Seoul trade: Jake Lloyd
New Delhi: David Myers

Trade 67
New Delhi trade: Koby Stevens + Jack Trengove
Christchurch trade: Tom $cully + Pick 12

The rebuild process is vastly fastracked when you get trades like this :P
That's hindsight for you...

Back then, Lloyd was a 69ave fwd and Myers had gone 85ave the year before

That was the whole GC ruck line and Nicholls had averaged 91 in his 2nd year, 79 in his 3rd year and just come off 81ave that year.
Matt Crouch was averaging 68

Koby Stevens was an 86ave fwd and Scully had one year over 79 which was 83.

Guaranteed there will be similar trades this year (and every year) that we'll look back in 3-4 years time and think they were just as uneven.

Clearly wasn't Crouch that made that trade uneven ;D

Calling it now

Will never go 105+, hence irrelevant for SC

If you say so, just don't refer to Howe, McVeigh, Martin, Sloane, Crouch x2, Selwood, Goldstein, TMcDonald, Gunston or Kennedy as best XV or Dublin players again in that case.
