Zero chance of us trading Bont for pick #3+#8  haha  :)
My question though, using the cash formula.

Would you trade him for 1,2 and 8?

You probably wont but its not far fetched to say he is worth it.

geez T.Mitchell Gaff Brodie Bowes Setterfield  would be an amazing combo for the future.
Oh sure, he has a value.  We paid #2+#4 for Barlow,  based on that.  Bont =?   Lots   :)

I think the fixture grouping is working great btw, believe it creates some real tension at the end of the year...

If kept the same, the 6 groups next year will be:

Top 6
Dublin, Rio de Janeiro, Mexico City, PNL, New Delhi OR Buenos Aires, New York OR Pacific

Middle 6
New Delhi OR Buenos Aires, New York OR Pacific, Seoul, Beijing, Christchurch, Berlin

Bottom 6
Cape Town, London, Moscow, Tokyo, Toronto, Cairo

I'm liking the number of teams that have moved groups from last year to this. Particularly if New Delhi and Rio go from bottom 6 to middle 6 - while Moscow go from top to bottom. A lot can change

Its good because it adds tension but its negative because it stacks draws.

If you have a major injury for 3 weeks and those 3 weeks are towards the back end of the year when your playing tough teams that can ruin our season. For fairness the games should be spread out.

a key injury when your playing the bottom teams equals 2-3 wins. a key injury when your playing the top teams equals 0-1.

Plus i have just played PNL and Mexico so it seems repetative.

just my opinion but wondering if others agree.

just another side point, the start of the year is very boring for the top teams with basically wins most weeks. I would like to have some tough games thrown in. The only interesting games are when bottom teams improve alot. If i start my year playing those bottom 6 teams i expect to go 6-0

You lost in round 2 Holz....

I know Levi has suggested this already, but would non-finals teams be interested in playing 'friendlies' over the finals, to test out some new rules?

Not after Rory Lobb went down and Rupert was robbed of the final rising star nomination.

correct by a team that improved rapidly and i had my worst game in like 2 years.

29, 42, 21, 27 were my other margins in the first 5 weeks.

And you're scores would have beaten nearly everyone in those rounds
Rd1 highest
Rd3 2nd highest (rio highest)
Rd4 highest
Rd5 2nd highest (NDT highest)

Wouldn't have mattered if you played top teams... you still would have won

correct but those 5 games i went in knowing i was 95% going to win.

Beijing was a fun game as i reckon i had a 75-80% chance of winning and ended up losing.

its just very unnatural to have the season split this way. As i said its unfair if you get hit in a particular period. If your a 150 team and 1-2 injuries bring you down to 140.

at the start of the season it could mean the difference in 5-1 and 6-0

at the end of the year it could be 0-6 and 6-0.

I would prefer looking forward to a rio, pnl, mexico every month or soo instead of bam its all in one go and then it kinda chepaens the finals abit as I just played Mexico. I like the wait to avenage a defeat thats half the fun.

been wanting to take out PNL bad to avenege a loss but it was only a month ago. If it had of been earlier the tension would have been even greater.

its also not very realistic as the AFL doesnt do it for a reason. Having a round 23 or in our case a round 19 grudge match system is still a good idea though, So predict 1-18.

then go 1v2,  3v4, 5v6, 7v8, 9v10, 11v12, 13v14, 15v16, 17v18.

I'll put my hand up!

Not exactly prepared to host in my spreadsheets though... but we'll see what happens

meow meow

I have to name my seniors team for the reserves so I'll be friendly.
