Just felt that oh so faint sense of dread at the thought of the trade period  :-[  :P

Dunno... still reckon I got decent depth across the lines, and I don't expect Viney, Fyfe & Brad Crouch to be out (or shower) most weeks. But maybe another decent mid.

I do have 2 targets though, but I ain't sayin otherwise their owners will play hard ball with me :P

Sure I do :P I want almost every melbourne player haha, but my self-imposed ban from last year has worked really well for me and I plan for that to continue...

... except for one player. Then I swear I'm done!

... Well, I'm the only one who knows how to appreciate Nate Jones btw, thought you should know. But he isn't my target :P

when Dees were bad you loaded up and it hurt

Seriously though what does PNL need?

mids have been tested with Swan and hodge out but mckenzie & keays are there not great of course but showing signs

Think Daz is on the ball for us. We could always use another top midfield, as everybody can see how without Swan/Hodge we really do fall off for our top range depth there. Backs and Forwards been in and out of form, wouldn't turn down another high class back along with a midfielder. Rucks as usual for us as well :P.

We aren't afraid to take some risks on some youngsters, got in Sheridan a few seasons ago, Crozier, Stretch, Troy Menzel and Zac Williams last season. Daniel Rich for Zac was quite a risk given Rich is reliable but that tag limits him :(. Given Zac has been better than we expected and really cementing his spot in the side :D.

I'm looking to trade out Hartlett at his 2014 price. Or I'll keep him and watch him bounce back like Gibbs.

But I got rid of Grimes (hasn't played, will get delisted EOS), Watts (maybe this one hurts coz I always knew he'd come good... still only 79 av), Cross & Jamar retired... the only new Demon I got was Mitch King, and that was to complete the ruck set.

But I kept Gawn & Viney for a reason  ;)

remember when Purp was annoyed that he tacked on Tmac at the end of this trade, well now im annoyed. I need my mids. In saying that I love buddy, nds is handy and tmac helped me get treloar.

So we're at the half way mark of the AFL season, and most teams have had their fair share of casualties which got me thinking - what type of players can you see yourself targeting in the 16/17 trade period?

With Rich, MCrouch, Ross, Oxley, Lloyd rotating through U2 next year, we'll be looking to sell mids and targeting mainly defenders and then forwards.

Oh and a decent ruck >:(
