Will miss our rivalry with Dublin but sure to continue when we are scheduled to meet. Dublin is yet to beat London in 4 attempts so if Mexico want to know the secret can give advice.

Can I play London early please so i can end this quickly.

And where the hell is New York some where squirelled away in that far away part of the world where they think they dominate.  They may dominate the financial scene but do the dominate FF and SC we will enjoy the challenge.

Straight into the banter hey!

Well, New York and London are the powerhouse states of their countries so that makes sense I reckon

And yes, we will dominate the FF and SC scene in this rivalry too!  ;D

We'll prove we didn't come out of that re-draft second best. :P

Hey WXV, a bit of shameless advertising going on here, as we need to find a new admin for the AXV competition.

I have to announce that I intend to step down as AXV administrator. It's been great to run the competition for the last couple of seasons, but unfortunately in the coming year I will not have the time to commit to running the competition on a weekly basis, and making it the best it can be. I do intend to remain as coach of the Manila Folders. Ricochet my assistant admin does a great job, but he too lacks the time to run the competition on his own.

So far we haven't had any members of the current AXV community who have the time to and are willing to take over to run the competition, which is entirely understandable as it is quite an extensive role. So we are now extending to ask the wider FF community if there are any coaches out there interested in taking over the primary administrator position of the competition. It is quite an involved position, but it is great fun, and a way to get even further involved in fantasy football. We still have a couple of months to go before the season proper starts, so there is plenty of time for a new member to come into the position and get settled. I will be more than happy to help out the new coach and show them the ropes, and show them how the weekly running of the competition functions.

So if anyone is interested, please send a short application to myself and Ric as to why you believe you should gain the position of competition admin. As we haven't had any current AXV Coaches wishing to take on the role, we are willing to look at someone who is not a current head coach to take on this role. Its great fun to do, so send me a message if you think you might be interested and want some more details.

I love when this happens.

Read a report on sam Collins how he is expected to be a shot to play round 1. Quickly jumped on to see who had him and if i could trade for him. then realised it was me :)

Best of luck BB67th - as a former Admin, I know the work it takes to do these things...

Will miss our rivalry with Dublin but sure to continue when we are scheduled to meet. Dublin is yet to beat London in 4 attempts so if Mexico want to know the secret can give advice.

Can I play London early please so i can end this quickly.

Well, sorry Purple for the spoiler in fixture, but my draft of the fixture that I gave to Purps had a London/Dublin Round 1 opener....

Sorry for delay with trade voting stuff; went away for the weekend and just got back  8)

Alrighty;

QuoteA) Keep it as it is:
- 0-2 votes is an auto-pass
- 3-5 votes passes the trade with the admin having the power to reject it
- 6-8 votes fails a trade with the admin having the power to pass it
- 9+ votes is an auto-fail.

B) Strict
- 0-2 votes is an auto-pass
- 3-4 votes passes the trade with the admin having the power to reject it
- 5-6 votes fails a trade with the admin having the power to pass it
- 7+ votes is an auto-fail.

C) "Just Right" Porridge (not meaning to imply this is what you should vote for, I just wanted to put in a Goldilocks reference)
- 0-3 votes is an auto-pass
- 4-5 votes passes the trade with the admin having the power to reject it
- 6-7 votes fails a trade with the admin having the power to pass it
- 8+ votes is an auto-fail.

D) Lenient
- 0-4 votes is an auto-pass
- 5-6 votes passes the trade with the admin having the power to reject it
- 7-8 votes fails a trade with the admin having the power to pass it
- 9+ votes is an auto-fail.

E) The option I want has vastly different levels then the ones presented in A, B C and D (but also vote for A, B, C or D in case not many people vote E)(write your custom option if you vote E).

A - 4
B - (two coaches asked to re-vote, as it was unpopular)
C - 9
D - 5
E - (two voted E (actually 3 did, but one co-coach voted before they did) so their backup option was counted instead as it was unpopular)

Which means I'm gonna call it and say OPTION C is the winner.

In addition to this, I've been thinking of ways to speed the process up by deciding on trades privately a little sooner than I normally would.

What does this mean?

This means, for example, if we have 5 coaches left waiting to vote, and a certain trade currently with 0 votes is a good trade IMO, then I will pass that as even if it attracted 5 votes, it will still pass as I decided to let it pass.

Make sense?

With these new levels as well, we will have a few more trades auto-passed and another trade or two auto-rejected, also speeding up the process.

As long as I'm admin, we will have an annual vote to review on trade process and levels, so don't fret if you think this is a long term solution :P

Hopefully we can have a more efficient and... cleaner, trade period this year  8)

Cheers guys :)

Holz

7 people wanted more lenient rules then option C which according to option C is enough for it to fail unless admin thinks otherwise :P

A majority of voters just voted to have a minority in power.

A minority of voters voted for the fair majority

its a paradox.

Joel Selwood might not play round 1.

I can feel it happening already.

Fixture up tomorrow I reckon as well  :)

meow meow

0-3 votes is an auto pass. So McKernan for 12 would have passed and I'd have Stefan Martin instead of Jobe Watson.

I'll accept a mid first round compensation pick.

Roughy gone for 4-5 months and the effect that could have on Gunstons output is a potential double whammy for Dublin

I can't help but wonder if this is the first of a series of unfortunate events to ensure you lose against London in Round 1 :P
