I expect everyone to vote for option A in the latest vote since they apparently don't want the system changed at all.

can someone who voted A just provide me for a reason as im abit confused.

it cant be because you want a majority of the coaches to get a say as in every trade that has got rejected barring a small handfull the majoirty has voted to pass the trade.

the system is slow and takes weeks

it has caused mass arguments.

other comps use the other systems and have had great experiences with it and far less arguments

the admin himself would like a trade committee.

Is there any system where voting on trades could be done at any time and not structured.

Like as soon as a trade drops it can be voted on by whoever is online. Once it gets to a 4-5 (whateva it is) it passes unless Purps wants to reject it.

having a system that causes fights and lots and lots of stress on the admin is a problem though. I honestly feel very sorry for Purp and Ossie having to deal with a horrendous trade period every single year. The committee takes alot of stress off him in my opinion (as an admin)

the main reason I voted for A was as an admin myself i know it takes pressure off the admin and given how great a job purp does anytime we can take pressure of his shoulders for such the huge effort he puts in and to increase his enjoyment in the comp the better.

I appreciate the concern Holz  :) it does get pretty bad on occasion, but really I totally accept the decision that's been made as the preference of the majority of coaches; no matter what option we choose, the same amount of shower will be tossed around anyway.

I thought a committee would have been good purely to speed up the process. What the current system does best though, is get across the thoughts of the coaches better than whatever alternative we come up with, which is a good thing, and that's why I think it got the go ahead.

i do get that but i think we have two options really

1. stay as is
2. purps decides all trades

as the problem with a committee is i think it is unfair that say it is Purps and 4 WXV coaches

why 5 current coaches have a say and not the rest
so then you could still complain at the decision of those 4 (minus purps)
why are those 4 considered to have the right to determine over others
(and even if you say using the option purps picks them himself so too bad that is how it is)

ppl will still complain if and when some are rejected

but the reason i went for A


is to spare purps the stress of voting on them himself and then having to hear them complain in pm to him every week as i'm sure some would happen
