It was also my choice to trade McKernan in a fair trade that would have netted me Stefan Martin. Instead I was forced to keep pick 2, then traded it for Watson (worthless). The fair trade failed while the unfair trade passed. How is that good for equality? I shouldn't be punished because other coaches are wrong, I should be compensated for it.

but no one forced you to trade pick 2 for watson

regardless of the first trade passing or not

(i know you well say if it passed you would not of done the 2nd)

but my point is if you traded and got what you gave for dusty and he tore up you wouldn't complain
or if jobe was not suspended and scored 110 that would be fine too

i mean what happens when we trade for players then they are delisted (ala warnock and hams)
i know that is a different thing entirley but either way
(thought the myers for warnock one both team ended up with no players..lol)

i mean what do you want to happen

all trades after that reversed and you then get martin?

No I want a compensation pick for giving up Jamie Elliott and Nathan Hrovat and receiving nothing in return. In the interests of a fair competition and all.

I also want to know why some unfair trades are simply written off as "Oh well, bad luck" when people put so much effort into judging them and trying to keep the competition even.

If I tried to trade Griffen for Zorko now it would fail. If i traded 2 for Watson it would fail. If i traded McKernan for 12 would pass. I didn't vote on these trades so I wasn't in the wrong. I suggest that you guys admit you were wrong, ammend your decisions and compensate me for your errors in judgement. If you want a fair and equitable competition that is.

A fair trade; in your opinion.

But aren't you contradicting yourself by using the same argument in saying McKernan has worth and Watson doesn't?

You would have never pursued Watson if you knew the guilty verdict would happen, so I'm going to say you assumed it wouldn't.

Seeing as you assumed it wouldn't happen, then you can't imply McKernan was always worth this much (i.e. in a team without Bellchambers) when you initially thought there was going to be a non-guilty decision. You can't have it both ways.

You could look at every trade period we have ever had, and some trades look really bad and one sided after a couple months after the trade, when they looked perfectly fair at the time.

You didn't have to trade Pick 2. You didn't have to go after a player that could have got suspended by WADA. You also got Pick 12 out of trading Pick 2, which helped you get Koby Stevens and Jack Trengove, so no, you didn't get nothing.

NDT demand compensation because we didn't have any Essendon players get suspended and now feel left out

We have learnt a lesson here, meow is the best drafter and one of the best at trading in cheap guys who turn into stars.

He should never trade in premos

annoyingly it doesnt. same for watson who missed the last 3rd of the season

Jukes

I for one certainly think compensation should be given to teams affected - if we lose Heppell and Hooker that's our season right down the drain. How does that make for a fair competition?

so how about when Libba went down injured with an ACL.

in that case you couldn't predict that, but you knew they had impending bans for years.

picking up top up players is very very lucky and actually pretty questionable.

when I tried to trade watson people said he wasnt worth as much as this could happen. the fact it did was a calculated risk that didnt pay off.

RaisyDaisy

What sort of compensation are you expecting? You're getting a top up player at best, so just like Libba for us last year you just have to cop it

We had no Libba all year, and Duncan missed a massive chunk while Bennell was a mess. Welcome to our 2015

That's cute, but please do tell me more about injuries ruining a season. :P
