Well based on the update Purps gave earlier today - it doesn't look like there is going to be many rule changes anyway

I reckon the 3 of you just get together asap and smash out the redraft - get your new fresh teams out there for the rest of us to see and then get straight into your planning and trade talks, because whether you like it or not the longer you delay getting into trade talks the more you could find yourself missing out

Yes I agree the draft needs to be done before the trade period opens - but why cant the draft just be done now?

I cant see how the rule changes are going to influence who you pick that much

probably not, but may as well have all the information

I imagine the ruck rule will influence where Ryder goes.

Have a way to solve the problem! Forget the re-draft, trading starts Sunday night, Oss/Vin get Dillos, Adamant gets Toronto. Just like how it's always worked in the past. Sometimes the simple way, is the best way :)

Vinny

Don't mind when we do it.

Haha it is happening dude. Plus the reason Ada applied for the team was because we are doing the re-draft.

This is from a PM;

I was pretty keen on the fact there was going to be a re-draft (hence why I finally applied for a coaching gig), so would like to go though with it please. :)

Can anyone think of a solution for restings. Perhaps start a round earlier?

A player getting 90% of their average if a clear resting?

not sure it just seems abit silly to have one team all year then 5-6 guys out who arent injured just because its round 23.

I know most people will say deal with it, but its something to think about.

Mexico could have mass restings as well and it just doesnt feel like a grandfinal with Dublin B against Mexcio B

Fair call.

Will see how the AFL is fixtured with two byes instead of one. Might look at having the final second last round.

Thanks.

I dont want to be making any excuses but this is two years in a row I have been hit hard by resting.

Last year Goldy Rocky Buddy this year im feeling it will be far worse.

The AFL has basically given the greenlight on Resting that concerns me as a footy fan. Im not going to the game friday night anymore.

I'm pretty sure I mentioned this in the rule discussion thread somewhere?

If not I definitely meant to.

The BXV finished in Round 22 and so did the Americas XVIII SC league and those finals were great and largely resting-unaffected.

Play the Rep games in the last round when restings come in to play and coaches have an unlimited amount of players to pick from.

Why reduce the interchange cap?

Why not just let clubs do unlimited interchanges?

Because the game is turning to an ugly, boring rolling pack. The theory is that if players can't rest as much, they'll tire more and be more inclined to stay in positions rather than run around like headless chooks chasing the football.
