Dublin could be in a bit of trouble this week!
Mundy likely to be rested
Sounds like North will be doing something similar.... look out Goldy, Hansen and NDS
Buddy under an injury cloud

literally about to post this. Going to be massively annoyed if i lose because players were rested. Playing poorly like this week and losing in the champs is fine. Not even getting a chance with all those guys gone is just unfair given how well we went all season.

I could legit struggle to field a team.

Goldy, Hansen, NDS, Mundy, Walters, Buddy and who else?

RaisyDaisy

If all those guys do in fact get rested, at no fault of Mexico's it will feel like a tainted victory and it would be a real disappointing way to end what's been a great season in Worlds

If i won with those guys out though :P

remember I had no Buddy Goldy Rocky last year

Jroo

Just give Goldy a rest, the others can play. I probably should've kept Currie :-\

Wonder what the odds are now?  :P

Regarding this, At the end of last year I pushed for the BXV season to finish in Round 22.

This year for the first time it did and while we still had one of the finalists missing Fyfe that was supposedly for a genuine injury.

Otherwise the final went great. Now instead we have rep games in Round 23 instead of the most important game of the year.

I'd recommend this for WXV as well.

Playing 2 matches over the bye rounds would be crappy... but generally don't have a huge objection to this

Of course players miss games during the regular season due to being rested also. And it is mostly just Ross Lyon

honeslty losing Goldy isnt the worse case scenario. Losing Buddy and Walters would suck far worse.

would mean Schoenemakers or josh Walker will have to play. Currie is actually good with Goldy. What would suck is a goldy late out.

Yes some players are rested of managed throughout the season but, it's only generally one or two players and they usually only miss one week each.

There's a much higher percentage of players being rested in Round 23 and there could be multiples from one team (Freo are saying up to 11 this week).

Imagine if Berlin makes the the Grand Final in 2020 and the Demons make the finals for the first time in a long time but, can't lose their position and they rest 10 players. Instant win for whoever the Brewers are playing...

The CL final finished Rd 22 (and was a cracker) and the Americas XVIII SC grand final was in Rd 22 as well (also a cracker).

Also FYI McPharlin, Sandilands, Pavlich, Mundy, Hill and Spurr confirmed resting this week.

If Goldy misses Dublin are in big trouble...

Ricochet

Walters also confirmed as missing

Not disagreeing, just pointing out it isn't perfect. At least in the Grand Final it can only possibly impact 2 teams, whereas the Top of the Ladder Demons (we should really use realistic examples Memph :P ) could rest 5 players against the cellar dweller Hawks, just when Berlin is playing its most important match of the season.

BUT, I agree, it will probably be better to have Round 23 clear. Just the pain of having 2 rounds during the 3 bye rounds (it would mean it the middle round you'd actually be playing 2 games at the same time) isn't ideal either.

If Walters plays then its a huge plus, i have 5 premo forward I need 4 to play.

Mundy Watson out in the mids hurt badly. Thompson and Walters are my cover for that.

edit Walters out.

Im screwed if anyone else is missing.

Buddy is the deal break he goes i dont think im any shot.

As it stands im playing one non premo

Holz

very big rumbling that the Shaz could make his worlds debut in the grandfinal.

RaisyDaisy

So when is this redraft happening?

In an ideal world I would love for the new teams to be selected, and the trade period opened by Sunday night  ;D
