why doesnt the new coaches get a say if they want to redraft or not

It should be a community decision for current senior coaches IMO.

Holz

Ill change my vote to redraft so it win 9 to 7.

yeah but the new coaches should get a vote and once elected maybe state to the other coaches if they want a redraft or not

not like ossie/vinny getting a team is guaranteed

Thanks Purps, I really don't want to cause a division though :/ wondering if it's best to withdraw?

Nah it's all good os, don't withdraw.

I voted against it but at the end of the day someone has to make a decision, I'll back it and move on   :)

Because they haven't been chosen yet and it kind of has to been decided on before choosing coaches...

I know most of you reckon I dismantled the team but when I made those trades, they were when I was assistant and Nails just asked to trade out all the old guys for the best deals possible, he was super firm on this. Not trying to get out of blame for them and I stand by them being the right trades for that particular path but anyway. Then he realized we were going to get destroyed and ditched, eventually because he was inactive, I became co-coach.

Then when I ask for him to help name teams and get involved, he said we suck and we had different intentions for the team in the off-season, ahah flower that.

This is why I am kind of bitter and don't give a shower if Nails is sacked with or without his opinion.

why do you need to know if we're redrafting or not? whoever you vote in should be competent in any scenario

Don't be silly Os

It has nothing to do with you personally, or even Vinny for that matter. It's all about the pass the Dillos get, but I agree in that Nails was the driving force behind that poor decision

There's rebuilding, but that was completely gutting the side

I know it's not personal :)

I reckon though Vinny and I will be a good pair if elected, will go with decision, thanks guys

Also... I can't actually believe everyone voted today. You guys are pretty damn awesome, I'm just sayin.

very quick for awards also. Great bunch of coaches

Ricochet

We voted against it but meh not too concerned either way tbh. I know that we don't want to be apart of a redraft though, so that when we make finals next year it'll be our boys that have done it.

I just hope we don't continue to have redrafts just for the hell of it in the future. The Dillos would have been fine if they have another decent year of trading.

Holz

Whats interesting is there is much much more talk about rules then the actual prelim finals.

and trading

Memphistopheles

There's only four teams in the prelim finals and it seems like those matches are foregone conclusions to me with Dublin and Mexico set to meet in the final.

Yeah there could be an upset but, not if Dublin/Mexico continue to score the way they have in the back half of the season.

To be honest as a weaker team this year we are just looking forward to the off-season/next year where we can try and work at improving our side enough to break Dublin/Mexico City's dominance on the future (probably not quite next season though for us).

Although I was against the merger I'm happy with your decision Purple.

Can I ask one thing though? We get the merger draft done asap so it doesn't affect the trade window :P.

Because, as it stands now these new teams are going to miss out on some players because deals have been agreed to. I reckon to make it fair for them we open trading maybe a week after the re-draft is done?

kilbluff1985

yeah waiting until the end of round 23 to close applications sucks make it this Sunday

QuoteBut the Saints would have won 3 of the past 5

I called it early in the season when Dublin were scoring 5000 every week; we don't peak in round 1.

What's it going to take to get some respect around here? 5 flags in a row?
