The AFL Home & Away season isn't a Draw, it's a Fixture. It's ruined the evenness of the game in some ways.
Gee, that's a big call.
Guessing Sarcasm.  :P

How about the Rio de Janeiro Jaguars and Christchurch Saints pick squads from all the Sao Paulo and Wellington players?

And we just keep the rest as normal

If I got one of the new teams I would be all for this idea.

But how do draft picks get allocated? Rio couldn't just pick up Sao Paulo's draft picks since (in theory) Rio and Christchurch would contain equal amounts of quality.

Maybe the current draft picks could be included in the draft. For example whoever gets Rio might use their 10th pick in the player draft to pick up Sao Paulo's #20 draft pick instead of selecting a player.

My thoughts are you'd chuck in Sao Paulo and Wellington's pick in the draw also...

So for pick 18 in the Sao Paulo/Wellington draft, you could select Wellington's Pick 7 instead of Matthew Buntine or something.

I like it. Doesn't disrupt anything.

this is a really good idea, you should be able to make two good squads out of those two teams and wont cause major disruption to the league. Would be really interesting to watch the two coaches go pick for pick making a team.

Yeah, the regular trade period will begin again once we've got this sorted.

i mean if 2 coaches are selected and they get 40 picks each for the 80 odd players i want to be able to trade those picks

Nails

I'm happy to coach both new teams and the dildos  :-X

Interesting idea. So say Dublin wants ablett I put in a bid for pick 1

Nails

I hate that idea to be honest. Could get messy and confusing.

kilbluff1985

yeah just have to be pretty strict on it making sure they get a best xv player if its an early pick etc

Why wouldn't you just pick the players then trade them? Makes much more sense IMO, keep thing simple.

Yeah, this isn't a bad idea at all actually.

As meow said, doesn't disrupt anything.
