WXV admin ossie85 has the following statement:

"Wish to advise that we find it frustrating the length of time it has taken ASADA proceedings to occur. Until findings and recommendations are announced, we fully support the clubs and players involved."

The players under cloud, having admitted they have been injected with Thymosin, AOD-9604 or both, are:

Tom Bellchambers (London)
Alex Browne (Tokyo)
Stewart Crameri (Mexico City, at Buenos Aires in 2012)
Ricky Dyson (not currently listed, at Beijing in 2012)
Scott Gumbleton (Beijing)
Kyle Hardingham (Pacific, at Mexico City in 2012)
Dyson Heppell (Moscow, at New York in 2012)
Michael Hibberd (Berlin)
Heath Hocking (Seoul, at Tokyo in 2012)
Michael Hurley (Pacific, at London in 2012)
Sam Lonergan (not currently listed, at New Delhi in 2012)
Jake Melksham (New Delhi, at New York in 2012)
Tayte Pears (Tokyo)
Jobe Watson (Dublin, at Cape Town in 2012)

A number of Worlds coaches/teams have been fairly quiet this off-season/pre-season. Hoping the activity picks up once the season gets going.

Ringo

The Royals have been working on strategies behind closed doors and with the latest ASADA development effecting Captain Stanton and our number one Ruck injured as well Bellchambers we need to really have a new game plan ready.

The Royals may surprise again but without a perma ruck due to injury will be behind the eight ball.

Meanwhile, over at NDT, Shaun Hampson has had a ripping pre-season and due to.. err.. unfortunate injuries to other players from other teams he's suddenly #1 ruck ;)

Rules thread updated...

And I'll point out that because of the thousand of bonus/penalty points should clarify how rounding works..

ALL bonus/penalties are applied independently of each other (if your Captain is lowest score in home game, say he scores 20 points, he will get 20 points for being captain and 20 points for home advantage = 60. It won't be 20*2*2 = 80.).

All rounding is done UPWARDS. 20.1 = 21 points.

BUT, rounding is applied at the end of bonus/penalties. Example, Jobe Watson was rested the week before and is Co-Captain this week.

He scores 103.

He gets 51.5 points bonus for Co-Captains, and 10.3 points for resting. These two are added together (51.5 + 10.3 = 61.8) and then rounded (61.8 = 62). It isn't 52 + 11 = 63.

Right, I'm acknowledging it now. My start of the season doesn't look great.

Cons

Garland, Clark and Steven won't be available due to injury for at least round 1, maybe till round 3  :(

Worrying signs for Jack Grimes being used in a negating role... may or may not happen  :-\

Concerns over depth in my defense and forward lines as far as quality goes. NAB challenge matches make me think that, but I guess they are only NAB matches.

Is Michael Hibberd ok after that hammy? Minor or not, it concerns me.

NAB no shows for my richmond trio Jackson, Grimes and Conca. Actually, maybe Conca did play... but not impressively otherwise it would have caught my eye. Add to that Mad Jack Viney and Brad Crouch.

2 out of my 4 rucks haven't played, one only playing one match (Fitzy), be he won't be a solid scorer

Underwhelming performance by all my forwards, except for...

Pros

the wonderful Dayne Zorko  :D

Jack Trengove looks the beans!

Fyfe! And fellow former-Destroyer Lachie Hunter.

Georgiou looks worth a measly Rookie Pick 15

McDonough and Honeychurch generally being mentioned favourably

As you can see, Cons outweigh Pros, so I am declaring this an "Underdone Pre-Season" for my Brewers  :-[

But I am still confident over another season reminiscent of 2013  :D

Nige

Douglas gone for six weeks, that's a bit of a blow.  :-\

So is a thread for the first round going to be put up soon ossie or too busy with your little pet project the V League? :P
