BREAKING NEWS
Richard Applewood, Fiji Times

The rumor mill is in overdrive tonight, with major news outlets reporting that the former Head Coach of the Pacific Islanders, c4v3m4n will be coming out of retirement and mounting a comeback.

c4v3m4n is of course remembered as one of the founding coaches of the World XV, and an influential member of the greater FanFooty community, once serving as forum administrator under the tutelage of the legendary m0nty. On the eve of his 10th anniversary with FanFooty, rumors have been circulating that this decision has been in the works for the past few weeks.

Sources close to c4v3m4n have said that he will be making a formal announcement in the coming days, but his timing has been met with some initial skepticism.

"The Pacific Islanders have tasted success without c4v3m4n. He abandoned the club when the members, the players and the fans needed a leader the most, and truthfully, I wouldn't welcome him back", said Greg Matthews, loyal supporter of the Pacific Islanders. Mr. Matthews also questioned c4v3m4n motives, stating "These actions reek of someone who is motivated by greed, no doubt."

In a statement made by the Fijian Regional Minister of Football Operations, Paul McAllister has expressed his concerns in an open statement on Twitter.

"If these rumors are true and c4v3m4n is returning to the community, we hope that he does so with caution. The community has evolved over the 5 years that he is been in retirement and I hope that c4v3m4n is patient in his return. The Ministry are supportive of c4v3m4n's actions and wishes him all the best in and out of retirement".

No word from World XV Commissioner, Purple 77 or current Head Coach of the Pacific Islanders, Jayman as yet, but both have been sought for comment.

c4v3m4n first burst onto the scene in 2009, but started capturing the attention of the football community with his antics and frivolity, including his now infamous m0nty Medal afterparties. It was in 2012 that he was scouted as the head coach for the newly created Pacific Islanders but after just one season, c4v3m4n announced his shock retirement to the bewilderment of the football world. A bewilderment that will be surely noticed across the globe tonight.

EXCLUSIVE FOOTAGE
Brayden Johnson, Fiji Times

Posted 27 minutes ago

The Fiji Times has obtained exclusive footage of a coffee chat that occurred between former Head Coach of the Pacific Islanders, c4v3m4n and WXV League Commisioner, Purple 77.

Taken this morning, the pair met at a local cafe in Suva, Fiji, the famous Eden Bistro. This is the first time that c4v3m4n has actually been sighted outside of his island residence, sporting a beard and very casual attire.

Chats between the two lasted 45 minutes, with various topics discussed including the state of World XV and c4v3m4n's return to the World XV, but not as a coach. This information goes against recent rumors and revelations, as it was believed the c4v3m4n would be wishing to be re-instated as head coach of the Pacific Islanders.

c4v3m4n's return has been met with some hostility by local fans of the Islanders, and even some WXV coaches. Coach of the Christchurch Saints, meow said on record, "Who the **** is this guy?". Other WXV coaches have been supportive, with Cairo Sands Nige reaching out to c4v3m4n on Twitter with a short message, "Welcome back c4".

The footage was taken by a patron, who wishes to remain anonymous.

Also, if Seoul had the salary cap space available, they could have added Sam Rowe FWIW

You can disappear for as long as you did the first time and he probably still wouldn't have replied.
