There's only four teams in the prelim finals and it seems like those matches are foregone conclusions to me with Dublin and Mexico set to meet in the final.

Yeah there could be an upset but, not if Dublin/Mexico continue to score the way they have in the back half of the season.

To be honest as a weaker team this year we are just looking forward to the off-season/next year where we can try and work at improving our side enough to break Dublin/Mexico City's dominance on the future (probably not quite next season though for us).

Although I was against the merger I'm happy with your decision Purple.

Can I ask one thing though? We get the merger draft done asap so it doesn't affect the trade window :P.

Because, as it stands now these new teams are going to miss out on some players because deals have been agreed to. I reckon to make it fair for them we open trading maybe a week after the re-draft is done?

Yeah agree with this. Maybe send out the vote along with the rule changes?

I just hope we don't continue to have redrafts just for the hell of it in the future. The Dillos would have been fine if they have another decent year of trading.

Not sure why we don't just let Vinny keep the Dillos so he can continue on his rebuild, and then find a new coach for Toronto.

But happy to move on, and respect Purp's decision. Also, it'd be great to have Oss back in WXV. So if having the re-draft gets him back in, it should work out well :)

also regarding team names do the new coaches get to make suggestions and vote

you guys talk about having the coaches feel like it's there own team choosing the name greatly achieves this i think it's silly this has to get voted on

let the new coaches decide team names if enough coaches voice there dislike then come up with another name

One new team name needs to come from Canada, the other needs to come from South America.

The new coach can decide the secondary name, but I'd like to push that the Cananda-based team be called Manitoba, as it was Toronto's reserve team name.

This is just an informal process. Decide a name, idc, and if people like it, that's what we'll do.
