PNL have any comment on Hodge getting himself suspended for the Prelim and GF?
I know how they feel, Chris Masten decided biting would be a good idea and missed a prelim final win and might miss a grand final win in BXVs.  :P >:(
cost New Delhi. We woulda been still in otherwise
I wanna say the same about Dion Prestia's knee giving way and needing surgery.

it wouldn't be a PNL story without something going wrong

in other words HP blew a fuse at him and told him
"that in no uncertain terms if we lose it's his stupid fault" :P

(well that's the media G rated version)
We had to make an example of him after he blew a fuse and did that to his own teammate in Chad :(. Going to be sorely missed with our backline, and is the only reason why if we lose, it's because we had to make an example of Hodge.

All, righty.

Busy couple of days on the coaching front!

First of all, have got 13/16 coaches that have voted on Daz. I see no point in holding out any longer, as he has a received an extremely positive response (to no surprise), with 100% of votes a firm yes.

So its finally official! Daz is now a co-coach at PNL! Whoo!

Second of all, following the sacking of Q, I'd like to inform everyone that Nails is no longer a co-coach at Buenos Aires (with the blessing of co-coach Vinny). I wasn't originally going to do it, but a certain former Seoul-coach (I think you may have heard about him before), has proposed an idea with my blessing, that he and Vinny have a go at coaching a team together.

"So why haven't you sent the vote out yet Purple?" - I hear you say?

You'll notice I didn't say Nails was sacked... rather I said he was no longer a co-coach. Why? Because there will be no more Buenos Aires!  :o :o :o :o :o :o

And no more Toronto!  :o :o :o :o :o

Yes folks, we will be doing another Sao Paulo/Wellington, with Buenos Aires joining the Toronto players in the wilderness, to eventually be redrafted into two new teams!

This of course means, that Vinny and ossie85 will have to apply for one of the positions (and they'll be applying as co-coaches), so they have to get re-voted in eventually.

So yeah. Nails is a slightly different situation compared to Q, as he has been online every now and then, but Vinny has told me he has done literally nothing, and agrees with me that he should be sacked. If enough people disagree with the decision, send me a PM and we'll see what happens.

Also, need some team name ideas!

I reckon Toronto's reserve team in Manitoba will get a gig at Worlds, but I'm open for suggestions on the second name. I was always disappointed rb didn't choose Manitoba Manners, so that's my suggestion :P

But Buenos Aires didn't have a reserves team name, so I'm up for suggestions!

Nige

I think using a Canadian team name is good to keep it in that part of the world.

I think keeping the new team in South America is probably a good idea too.

Dismantled the list then abandoned the rebuild after one season. Outstanding coaching performance Vin :P

No clue what you just said man but..

There are two new teams that will be drafted from the players from the Dillos and Toronto. Ossie and I are applying as co-coaches for one of the teams.

They do look like good long term trades. Why are you ditching the team though? If you need help running the team you could have just gotten a co-coach.

Not ditching but I raised that I might struggle to keep up to date with all my XVs teams but was never going to drop the Dillos. But Ossie raised the idea, Purps liked it. I am happy to run with it because Ossie wants to get back into the game but can't do it alone and I want to stay in it but can't do it alone. Nails ditched because Nails.

Why is a redraft needed??

Why is a redraft needed??

I feel like by having a redraft, it gives the new coaches a sentimental feel towards the team and makes them feel like it is their own, rather than inheriting someone else's list. I also think this would cause them stick around for a little longer than they might have.

The other reason being, is to make Buenos Aires a little more competitive.

Really happy to have Ossie as a coach. Oh sorry, I might have given away my vote lol

Doesn't seem fair to teams like NDT and the other bottom teams

Dillos decided to take this approach of rebuilding, and the redraft seems like a get out of jail card for them

As for giving the new coaches a feeling of it being their own, plenty of coaches have taken over from teams (AK and I for example) and we made it our own by our trading and transformation so I don't see why it cant be done here. I get it would make them better, but on that assumption then you should add NDT to the redraft too although they wont opt for that and rightly so

TBH whatever decision is made wont bother me personally, but it does seem like a bit of a get out jail scenario
