Could the two coaches involved just agree to complete the trade in reverse in the 2nd trade period after positional trades are announced?

Perhaps just wait until positional changes are announced and then make the trade?
But if unexpectedly no positional changes are made then are you allowed to in the second period? I thought it was only for positional changes that HAD been made.

Yeah that is why I asked.

Like if I hypothetically wanted to trade Burgoyne for Bob Murphy but whoever has Bob didn't want to risk it due to the chance of Burgoyne being mid only, and they are both listed as defenders after positions are announced, would I be able to do that citing the uncertainty around Burgoyne?

If I was to do the trade now, and then Burgoyne becomes a mid only, Bob would be worth more and I win the trade. Creating an uneven trade. And some people seem to lose their shower over seemingly fair trades, so why should a team be hit with "too bad" due to DPP changes, but not "too bad" over a bad trade they made with no outside factors?

Alright, with the trade period done and dusted, and almost 150 trades done, there are gonna be a number of teams looking pretty different in 2015. I think most teams would have improved, I guess we can find out!

Let's see if we can get everyone to post their new Best XV!

Also, if people want, they can list the draft picks they have and maybe a predicted ladder for 2015 (probably after all teams have posted their XV, or most anyway)?

Should create a bit of discussion in the two weeks until the draft.

Good idea mate. Going to be some scary sides next year! From my limited observation of trades it seems almost everyone has improved their best XV in some regard.

I'll have a go at Toronto's, factoring in some expected position changes (C.Young M to D/M, JZ M to M/F, Ryder R to R/F):
Def: R.Shaw, J.Kelly, C.Young, N.Grima
Mid: S.Pendlebury (C), R.Griffen, A.Swallow, B.Cunnington
Ruc: T.Hickey
Fwd: P.Ryder, J.Ziebell, L.Henderson, M.Pavlich
Int: I.Smith, R.Douglas

Emg: C.Sheehan (D), J.Crisp (M), M.Robinson (F)

Nige

Cairo's would look something like:

D: B.Smith, E.Mackenzie, N.Smith, J.McGovern
M: D.Beams, D.Prestia, P.Hanley, M.Hutchings
R: S.Mumford
F: L.Breust, P.Puopolo, B.Brown, S.Dwyer
I: L.Dunstan, N.Gordon

E: R.Palmer, N.Kommer, R.Thompson

Something like that. We've got enough forwards rotate them around, so might even depend on match-ups or form and stuff there.

Should have the following picks in the draft if all our final trades go through: International Draft Picks: 10, 13, 31, 38, 50, 51, 52, 53, 65, 76, 77. That's 11 picks with 10 free list spaces. We'll probably elevate Jordon Bourke though, so we'll have 7 senior and 3 rookie spots to fill if my calculations are right.

JBs-Hawks

Not alot of shake up to Seouls best 15 but we do have plenty of good draft picks.

Def: Mckenzie, Newnes, Langdon, Sutcliffe

Mid: Dangerfield, Swallow, Greene, Ellis

Ruck: Mcevoy

Fwd: Lynch, Mcglynn, Matera, Boyd

Int: Kelly, Whitfield

Emg: Duryea, Kelly, Ceglar, Salem

liking my starting side the question is depth which can hopefully be addressed by draft picks.

Toga

Beijing XV:
D: H.Taylor, M.Jaensch, C.Hooker, T.Jonas
M: O.Wines, J.Polec, J.Caddy, J.Aish
R: M.Kreuzer
F: E.Betts, S.Mayes, C.Dawes, A.Black
IC: L.Neale, L.Shiels

Emg: P.Davis / M.Weller / B.Grundy / T.Varcoe

Changes to Best XV:
OUT: J.Hunt, M.Rosa, D.Stanley, B.Grundy, T.Varcoe
IN: T.Jonas, J.Polec, A.Black, M.Kreuzer, C.Dawes

So that's our best XV before drafting, where we hold Picks 1, 23, 27 and 92. Need to go and see how many blokes we have on our list now so we can work out how many picks we'll need, but at this stage I think we're going to be taking all of those picks to the draft, and should be able to pick up some talent with them.

Our D4 and F4 positions are subject to change as there's a few blokes that are fighting for those spots. Depth is looking a lot better this year as well, hopefully we'll have more than 14 or 15 players a bit more regularly than we did last season! ;)

RaisyDaisy

For a team that finished near the bottom this year, I think we have a good team now that can really improve

B: Heath Shaw, Josh Gibson, Paul Duffield, Sam Fisher
C: Steve Johnson, Travis Boak, Mitch Duncan, Jack Macrae
R: Mike Pyke
F: Travis Cloke, Jack Gunston, Kurt Tippett, Josh J Kennedy
IC: Leigh Montagna, Jed Adcock

Emg: Jarrad Waite, Kade Kolodjashnij, Matt Rosa

Picks 11 and 28 are our good picks

Ringo

Royals

Hopefully with the trades we have made we can have some depth this year:

This may be our starting 15: (last place open to conjecture given depth added)

B: Lumumba, Rampe, Baguley, Winderlich
M: Hanneberry, McVeigh, Stanton, Hoskin-Elliott
R: Bellchambers
F: LeCras, Mayne, Shane Edwards, Troy Menzell
U: MacKay, Sheppard

Emg: Touhy, Dannyle Pearce, Giles, Troy Menzell

We have 9 picks available to fill senior list,

Out: Daniher, Laird, Mackie, Broadbent. Matera, Gorringe, Lennon and delisted players Kaiden Brand, Jonathan Brown, Mitchell Brown, Jaryd Cachia, Ben Darrou, Stephen Gilham, Sean Gregory, Ben Hudson, Quentin Lynch, Fraser Thurlow, Matthew Warnock, Tom Young.
In: Sinclair, Sheppard, Baguley, Matt Shaw, Lecras, Hoskin-Elliott

Very large turnover at Royals this year.

Ricochet

lol Ele and I were just looking at this... What NDT used to look like a few years ago

Garrick Ibbotson, Nicholas Duigan, Martin Mattner, Jordan Murdoch
(Ben Rutten, Lewis Roberts-Thomson, Zac Dawson, Dale Morris, Shaun Edwards, Josh Toy, Kyle Cheney)

Leigh Montagna, Simon Black, Sharrod Wellingham, Clinton Young
Domenic Cassisi, Brent Prismall
(Aaron Mullett, George Horlin-Smith, Matthew White, Rhys Palmer, Viv Michie, Piers Flanagan, Will Langford, Dylan Buckley, Kirk Ugle, Callum Bartlett, Sam Sheldon, Sam Dunell)

Max Bailey
(David Hille, Brent Renouf)

Daniel Giansiracusa, James Podsiadly, Ian Callinan, Justin Koschitzke
(Terry Milera, Nick Heyne)

Nige

Just realised we only lost Douglas and Malceski from our best XV.

Memphistopheles

Should be another good year for Cape Town we hope :P

Starting XV
B: Shane Savage, Shaun Higgins, Nick Haynes, Jasper Pittard
C: Josh P. Kennedy, Trent Cotchin, Dom Tyson, Scott Selwood
R: Stefan Martin
F: Tom Hawkins, Andrejs Everitt, Jeremy Cameron, Stewart Crameri
IC: Craig Bird, Adam Cooney

I think we have really improved our depth this off-season with our back-ups for each position looking strong. I think we have at least one ore more good reserve for each position. Here's a look at our reserves to highlight this.

Reserves
Def: Cam O'Shea, James Gwilt, Will Schofield, Lachie Plowman, Gary Rohan, Jimmy Toumpas, Alex Johnson, Brant Colledge, Harrison Marsh.
Mid: Ed Curnow, George Horlin-Smith, Alex Sexton, Darcy Lang, Trent Dumont, Michael Evans, Josh Cowan.
Ruc: Billy Longer, Mark Blicavs, Trent West.
Fwd: Lachie Hunter, Dean Kent, Sam Reid, Cam McCarthy, Mitch Honeychurch, Brandon Jack, Billie Smedts, Malcolm Karpany.

Jroo

Apart from Cario (but they've got some very good picks), looks as though most teams are stronger, so far.

I'll post mine, later.

Memphistopheles

We have Nat 5 btw which get us a gun and then like 47, 57 and 61 which will just be used to top up our list with fillers most likely.

I still reckon we'll be fine tbh, the idea behind letting Eski go was that we could potentially get at least one younger defender into the starting XV to replace him and hope they grow to be as good as him. I mean, we may lose like 20ppg from going Eski to Nick Smith (basically who is replacing Eski in our backs) but I think long term it should be beneficial.

I'd be confident in saying that we'll be top 8 next year though.

Boomz

Def: Yarran, Suckling, R. Henderson/Dempsey/Johanissen/Broughton fighting for the last 2 unless Burgoyne gets def status
Mid: Kieran Jack, Anthony Miles, Luke Parker, Chris Judd
Ruck: Zac Smith
Fwd: Dahlhaus, Motlop, Carlisle, Lycett
U: Burgoyne, Cunningham

Reserves
Def: Rivers, Kennedy, Frost, Corr and the 2 who miss out on the starting spots from above.
Mid: Gleeson, Suban, Hewett, A. Young, Carrazzo
Ruck: Andrew Phillips, Tom Derickx
Fwd: J. Merrett, Ambrose, Jaksch, Cripps, C. Cameron, Lloyd

Have picks 39,43,44,45,64,69,72,80,84,86,88 but probably only going to use 6-7 of them.
