Haha... well, that's potentially flawed :P

I like riptide, but I absolutely love the other stuff on Vance Joy's EP, really worth giving them a listen if you're into his stuff. Funnily enough he played VFL footy too with Werribee.

        4)  Artic Monkeys- Do I wanna know  (#4)
        5)  Birds of Tokyo- Lanterns  (#22)
        6)  Haim- The wire            (#11)
        7)  Arcade fire- Reflektor    (#16)
        8   Matt Corby- Resolution  (#8)
        9)  Lorde- Tennis court  (#12)

Can't believe no New Slaves  :o
They're doing 101-200 today.

New Slaves was 200.  :o

Mailman the 2nd

Not really sure why you guys seem surprised as Triple J heavily favours Australian musicians (i.e. Vance Joy)

there were 7 countries represented and Australia made up like 43% of the songs.

The sound they go for usually only comes from those 7 countries anyway.

Personally I like what Triple J does with its hottest 100. It brings out a decent amount of Australian talent while also looking somewhat abroad

This sums up Triple J for me

Man that guy is a complete idiot

Yep. Didn't realise Triple J had to be a pub rock station.

As soon as you write, "I know I'm not the target audience..." you should just shut up and stop

If the 2 of you actually understood (and probably even read) what he said then you are both way off.  He is not saying that JJJ needs to be a pub rock station - it needs to be a station to support local AUSTRALIAN music of all genres

He is saying that JJJ is just another commercial radio station catering to record labels whims - which is being funded by the Australian Taxpayer (you and me)
