Thanks fellas yeah I did make a mistake it was meant to read birchall not Mitchell but have since taken on board what bones has said and traded bock to kersten. I'm not too concerned about nic nat as big boy and leuy are around the same price, with lobbe being a slightly cheaper option. Griffen for me is a point of difference but could happily substitute him for Watson or rockliff etc

Other than interchangeable rookies we only have 5 real differences at this point.
Simpson, Grimes, Griffin, Daisy and Clark for you and Bartel, K.Kolo, Watson, Rocky and Lennon for me.
You may have me at the start but I'm trying to stick with guns and rookies. Dont want to pay the extra for players who I will trade out anyway, but may end up having to if the rookies don't get up.

If true have flexibility to go with leuy, mumford, mcevoy, lobbe, maric, Jacobs, kreuzer, etc
Just a matter of picking one
Id probably go with leuy for consistency, mcevoy ceiling height being at a new club or mumford, or lobbe for improvement,

Also thinking of making a few changes such as getting rid of jack martin for michie and changing Griffen to selwood and grimes to swallow.

I think this team looks much stronger with selwood to score higher than griffen with the new captaincy and also michie has a mature body in a lesser midfield at Melbourne compared to the more talent but raw martin who has to compete with prestia, ablett, omeara, bennel, etc. Swallow I believe can break out although I am not entirely certain but Duffield is a similar price and is ultra consistent. As far as Nic Nat goes there are rumours about him needing surgery but they have not surfaced on afl, hs or eagles web page but can easily be traded for mumford, mcevoy, Lobbe, etc

Would love to hear peoples thoughts on Mark Murphy too, is he crucial to success this year or can you get away without having him?

Swallow now fit should get more mid time, didnt he go HB coz he had some sorta niggling injury??

minus his 29 in Rnd 17, his avg would've been 95.25
@ $353K and Van Berlo getting injured its more than likely he'll get that spot.
if he can avg 90ish he will make you 150K.

Griggs a ball magnet who averages 82 but got hit with the vest a few times so that could be marked up to around 90 if he is given a full match. With Morabito I believe his a strong chance to play round 1, definitely has the skill and will possibly have a good enough fitness base. I have though about ellis and had him in my side for a while but I just not sure how much playing time he will get for the eagles or what role he will get. This is the reason for having a strong bench in Dunston and sheed, I find it likely that sheed and ellis could be fighting it out for a place in the 22 so they are interchangeable. Crouch or other rookies could take morabitos spot as I am treating him like a rookie , whether its crouch, honeychurch, orourke, acres, lewis taylor, etc which are all the same price or lower than morabito.  Something I will watch over the NAB games

Is murphy a complete lock this year? And is martin a complete lock? Through my assessment Murphy struggled last year, yes some through injury and some through tag, but he is at an awkward price. Is he a lock like Mitchell in the backline or is it not worth restructuring around him. Same question with martin

being a blue boy i'd love murphy to go 160+, but in reality i wont be starting him in my team.
Yes he can go 110+ but maybe he wont, i read somewhere that Daisy in the mid will take some focus away from murphy.

Martin, yes start with him.
better to start off with him and trade him out if he does sh!thouse then to find an extra 100K and upgrading one of your other rookies.
