Hi guys, first time back after the off-season and put together a first draft team to see what ya fellas reckon :)

Backs - strong
Mids   - strong like Murphy
Rucks - good to see 1 gun in there
For     - maybe one of Franklin or Tippett another mid type in there
overall good first team good luck

Nice looking side mate.

I like all the picks in your backline however I would like to see one more senior player here. A good value player such as J Grimes or D Swallow would be a good pick. Maybe downgrade L McDonald to a bottom priced rookie to generate some cash.

Mids look great. I have the same 5 that you have chosen so no complaints here. Ellis or Beams for a bottom priced rookie to get more cash for the upgrade in defence.

I like your rucks but I think you could save some coin as Goldy is priced at a premium. Perhaps think about bringing in Lobbe for Goldy and bank the cash.

I like all your forward line picks except for Tippett especially seeing as though you already have Buddy. Have a think about bringing in Dixon for Tippett as he is likely to score well this year and will give you that all important RUC/FWD link.

As far as rooks go ill definitely keep an eye out for cheeper options in the NAB, just gone with those most likely this far out as a rough guide.

The rucks are always a crapshoot, last year i went set and forget with a combo that looked safe as houses and turned out to be horrible (McEvoy/Jacobs), ill look through NAB again at guys like NicNat and Mummy

As far as Buddy + Tippet go i reckon they could do a similar combo as Roughy and Buddy at the Hawks, with Mummy gone Tippet might pick up more time in the middle and showed really good signs down forward end of last year

Welcome back

Point taken with rookies as you have some listed that I doubt will play in Round 1.

Team is well structured with 14 prems/semi-prems and sound bye structures.

I too am wary of the Tippett/Franklin double prefer one only. Rohan and Parker will also be taking points off them.  Just my opinion.

The only concern I have is having to play 2 rookies in defence each week as there is not a lot there but hopefully others may be unearthed in preseason.  In saying that KK and McDonald should play every week. Battersby I think is still on Crows rookie list so will have to look for an alternate there,

Def:Not really a fan of 2 rookie backs on the field but you have this to strengthen other positions 3 good premiums
Mids:Strong can't fault any of these
Rucks Good choice of Ruck it is good to see a Premium ruck there
Fwds: I would get rid of Tippett and get in Wingard or Pavlich.

Ithink you have a very competitive team with a good bye set up i give it an 8/10 only need to address moving tippett out off your team as you have Buddy there as well.

Forwards: Danger, Martin, Roughy, Caddy, Higgins, Rohan, (McDonough, JKH)

58.9K in the bank which im keeping to turn Langford into Martin if named......or should i cut Cox to Luey and take McDonough to Bennedy to get Rohan off the field?

To Answer your question i would keep Langford as he will get games  Cox to Leury is OK, Not sure about the last one but if you think Kennedy will score more than Rohan do it.
At least you have a couple of uniques here which you need.

hmmmm, its a tough one Col, Id say your mid's are slightly too weak but your call really. Unique backline that will go boom or bust I feel. If it goes boom you'll be laughing your head off. Id just sit tight and use that 58k for the first thing that arises. Cox/Bennedy and Luey/Rohan is much of a muchness I feel.

At the moment, the team is:

Def: Mitchell, Hanley, Simpson, Swallow, McDonald, Laidler.......(Langford, Langdon)

Mids: GAJ, Pendles, JPK, Beams, Tyson, Polec, Dunstan, Ellis........(Aish, Crouch)

Rucks: Mummy, Sandi........(Currie, Thurlow)

Forwards: Danger, Martin, Roughead, Higgins, Fasolo, Taylor.............(Rohan, Impey)

226.7K in the bank

Team has been largely rubbish and im way to far back to go for overall so just concentrating on leagues

Thinking this week:

Ellis -> Robertson
Rohan -> Lloyd or Langdon -> Cutler

Lloyd would be better cash generation....and F6 wise, but the byes arent great with him making 4 round 8 players up forward

Any other ideas would be much appreciated guys :)

Remember col you only have to field 18 players for byes so ensure that.

Cutler will only rise about 40/50k due to sub in first game so can wait till next week for him.

So I would do the Elis to Robbo and Roahn to Lloyd (I will be doing the same trade)

Next week Langdon to Cutler and Langford to a non Round 8 player maybe Hibberd or Hooker as a POD. Helps your bye situation.
