Wasn't really in a kitchen but was just drying cutlery in a restaurant I'm working about a month ago, was looking up and talking to a customer and then didn't realise the knife was the wrong way, cut my thumb quite badly. Didn't get stitches but maybe should have, it still hasn't quite fully healed lol.
Don't worry though I made the customer his coffee before going to sort it out lol #customercomesfirst

few years back now, fresh 18, just finished high school, me olds went away to the old country and they left a whole lot of food in the fridge/freezer so i can feed me myself.

thought it'd be a great idea i make a parma for myself, BTW i got a rough understanding of cooking procedures but dunno how to cook.
pulled out the chicken breast, crumbed it the works, cooked it, looked great.

long story short, i ended up getting really crook. guess i didnt cook the chicken properly

Chicken and Pork are the most important meats to cook properly... I've been sick from it as well! so gross

Abiut 5 years ago now my sister was cooking toast and a "faulty toaster" caught on fire and burnt half of our kitchen down. If not for a fire brigade being 30 seconds away from our house the whole place would have been gone.

She revealed to everyone recently that she had actually put the toast down again because it was only half cooked and went out for a smoke when the toast caught on fire. She was underage and shouldn't have been smoking so kept this a secret for a number of years. I still give her crap about it every chance I get haha

Seafood outpoisons them all.

Burnt cous cous a while back, Mum told me to finish it while she went to the supermarket or something. Forgot about the cous cous whilst on the computer come into the kitchen to find it burned and tried to save it by putting water into it.

Came home one night late before i was married puggled from being out somewhere i can't remember and had an inkling for potato and gravey. Pealed the spuds got them boiling and adjurned to the bean bag in the lounge room and watch some TV till they were ready to mash. Long story short i fell asleep and woke up a couple of hours later with smoke all over the ceiling and a pretty foul smell woffting through the house, shower i thought and ran to the kitchen to find about 8 black bits of charcoal in the bottom of a dry saucepan that was also ruined. The smell was pretty ordinary i tell you and $50 worth of air freshners and Glen 20 didnt make a dent in it. That was my last attempt at late night cooking after a few amber fluids. :-[
