What are some stupid things you have done in the kitchen? Can be minor or major  :P

Waiting 45 minutes before going back to turn the roast chook. Oven light was on, no heat....almost got it right.. ::)

My dads fiancee years ago was cooking popcorn in the microwave don't know how but all these fumes started coming out we couldnt even stay in the house it was bad lol

me personally, not too much.

My family though have set whatever they're cooking on fire 3 or 4 times now... everytime I just come in and see them staring at the flames, and I have to be the one to put it out.

flower knows what they're going to do now I've moved out :P

I've never had any disasters myself since I am quite a capable cook, quite a few people have said I should go on masterchef, but that's another story...

Anyway my friend was cleaning up in my kitchen and she went to wash the stick blender. Stupidly she left it plugged in and as she was washing it pressed the button. Blood everywhere and the top of one of her fingers sliced up beyond recognition. Was so bad they couldn't stitch it or use a skin graft to fix. Just had to wrap it up and let it eventually heal itself. Needless to say she hasn't touched a stick blender since!

Most cooks have probably done this using Self Raising Flour instead of Plain Flour at some stage.

My kitchen mistakes are usually on purpose.... Screw up two or three times in one go, and somebody else will do it for you.

I tried making pancakes, couldn't fry them properly, mum ended up doing it for me :P. Another time a friend's mother made me help her make some curry and stuff. Think I burnt myself 3 or so times in space of 20 minutes. Fair to say, she never asked me to help her cook again :P. It may sting for a bit, but the payoff is good 8).
