I've tried to balance having good early scoring potential with value picks to begin with. I realise my rucks are weak but one line needed to be and I thought that the rucks presented the most value in terms of mid pricers. Big Hamish could become Grundy. Thinking about going franklin to Zorko/Crameri and getting in a super premium for Shuey but I think Shuey could be really valuble considering his price and potential output. Feedback would be greatly appreciated!

You can probably get by with 5 good players in the mids think you need at least 1 gun ruck in there just a bit to risky for me but thats the choice you have to make apart from that not a bad team good luck

Def:  Taking a risk going with 2 rookies here would recommend you only go for the one and get someone more expensive in. e.g Swallow,Enright. Nice to see Grimes get picked should Average 95
Mids: Nice Midfield but if you need to strengthen your defence or Rucks this is where you will need to downgrade someone
Rucks: Quite a few are going for Mcintosh can he perform like Leuey did last year. Seems to be training well so should be ready to go. Grundy may be a better option as 2nd ruck if you prefer him to Mcintosh
Fwds: If Bock can't go Round 1 then get Lennon in
The other thing i can say is use some more of that money you have left over. i give your team an 8/10

I think Jacobs can get back to his best and have gone bartel over grimes. but instead of pav at f4 ive got to downgrade to a sub 250k player where there are little options. are these changes worth while? Who should I put at f4?

You have strengthened your defence with Bartel only problem there is may play more up fwd this year as the cats have lost Chappy and PODS. But i leave that to you. Jacobs is a good selection and a unique pick hopefully he can get back to his 2012 form. If you go with higgins you need to hope he dosen't get injured early.
Anyway this team has improved a little.
